VIDEO: First ‘Maleficent’ Trailer Unveiled

It's about time! Nearly a year and a half after the first photos leaked of filming at Buckinghamshire, Disney has finally released the first trailer for their live-action tale of Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, which stars Angelina Jolie as the eponymous villainess fairy.

If you can hear past Elle Fanning's weird accent (is she supposed to sound English?) as the ill-fated Princess Aurora, the film looks promisingly like a fun fairy tale mash-up of The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. The teaser also offers a quick glimpse of Jolie's real life daughter Vivienne's film debut as a younger Princess Aurora. Of course, one look at Jolie's badass horns, piercing green eyes, and I-bet-you-can-cut-someone-with-those cheekbones, and you're likely checking your calendar to see how many days are left until the film hits theaters on May 30 next year. Am I right?

Watch Ron Burgandy’s PSA on Piracy

If regular anti-piracy ads featuring real people working behind the camera don't convince you to avoid stealing entertainment, perhaps Anchorman 2's fictional Ron Burgandy (Will Ferrell) will.

In the latest trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel (seen above), Burgandy offers a special report regarding their "evening's entertainment." When he realizes that the announcement is referring to film, he becomes outraged over defending "that shimmering pretender to television's crown."

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters December 20.

VIDEO: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Unveils ‘Don Jon’ Trailer

After having lived most of his life as an actor and spending the last several years building up his production company, HitRecord, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has finally gotten behind the camera for a film in which he also wrote and stars (naturally): Don Jon. The film - which also stars Scarlett Johansson, Tony Danza, and Julianne Moore - is a romantic comedy about romantic comedies. Scarlett's character, obsessed with romantic comedies and Hollywood's idealization of love, falls into a relationship with Joseph's character whose notion of love is the opposite, fueled by his obsession with porn.

If you can get past the fact that JGL's character looks like he just came from the set of Jersey Shore (which you undoubtedly should, because the movie looks like a fun and entertainining examination about love), you can mark your calendar for the film's theatrical release: October 18.

Cinecast: New ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer, Kate Hudson Cast in Zach Braff Film

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake+ Even though people are still recovering from throwing their money at Star Trek Into Darkness this weekend and Iron Man 3 the two weekends before that, Warner Bros. wanted to remind them that they still ought to spend even more of it on Man of Steel, which comes out next month. Hence, the new trailer.

+ Justin Timberlake has proven to everyone each time he's showed up to the Cannes Film Festival that he's not only one of the most talented musicians, dancers, and actors around today, but that he dresses better than anyone else. No, really.

+ Now that Mandy Patinkin has signed on to star in Zach Braff's Kickstarter-funded film, stars like Kate Hudson and Anna Kendrick are taking note and jumping on the bandwagon.

+ Since it feels like years since we last heard about the film adaptation of Ender's Game, the marketing team behind the project decided to throw fans a bone by releasing a new promo poster featuring Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield (who strangely resembles Elijah Wood in it at first glance).

Cinecast: Clips from Jarmusch’s Latest, Bradley Cooper in Curlers

Bradley Cooper+ While most actors probably would have donned a wig in his place, Bradley Cooper is dedicated to his craft. Here are some photos to prove that the curls he sports in David O. Russell's upcoming frilm American Hustle are the real deal!

+ Just as you were thinking that Tom Hiddleston was all brooded-out after playing Loki for three films, the folks behind Jim Jarmusch's upcoming Only Lovers Left Alive put out two clips of the vampire flick that prove you wrong.

+ Mad Men star is moving on up to the big screen, getting behind the camera to direct Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Turturro, Richard Jenkins, and Christina Hendricks in God's Pocket, which he adapted from Pete Dexter's novel of the same name.

+ With Fast and Furious 6 and the return of his Pitch Black character in Riddick, this year is unofficially the year of Vin Diesel and his sequels. While you're still holding out hope that xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will be finally greenlit, you can check out the trailer for Riddick here.

VIDEO: Watch the New ‘Kick-Ass 2’ Trailer

WARNING: The above trailer contains explicit language and graphic violence.

Jim Carrey joins Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Hit-Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz), and their crew of masked vigilantes in Kick-Ass 2, based off of Mark Millar's (Wanted) comic book series of the same name. Despite the three year gap from the release of Kick-Ass, the story picks up right where it left off, turning Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) into a legitimate villain who's so edgy that he has dubbed himself "The Motherf****r." Of course, any film where Moretz is kicking ass is a definite must-see, despite the cheesy, mega-stylized action sequences.

Kick-Ass 2, directed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down), hits theaters August 16.

VIDEO: Watch the Trailer for Danny Boyle’s Latest Film ‘Trance’

Director Danny Boyle's follow-up to his Oscar-nominated 127 Hours, Trance, features his real-life partner Rosario Dawson as a hypnotherapist hired by criminals to uncover the location of a priceless painting.

The thriller - which also stars James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel - appears to be more fast-paced than the James Franco drama and perhaps close to the level of trippiness (at one point in the trailer, Cassel speaks to McAvoy despite half his face and brain missing) that most recall from Boyle's cult classic Trainspotting.

The film hits limited theaters on April 5.

‘Black Rock’ Trailer: Girl Power, Horror-Style

Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell, and Katie Aselton star in Black Rock as three childhood friends who set aside their issues for a girls' day out. Given that it's a horror/thriller film, the trio naturally picks a secluded island and end up running into three hunters who end up - not surprisingly - wanting to hunt them down.

Directed by Aselton and written by Mark Duplass - actor/writer who typically produces dramedies - the film perhaps would have been more promising if it didn't seem to give away most of the plot in the trailer. Then again, it would also seem like every other horror movie where a small group of friends put themselves in a dangerous location of their own volition, shocked to discovered that it's not deserted.

Black Rock hits theaters on May 13, 2013.

VIDEO: 1950’s Teaser Trailer of the Lindsay Lohan Film ‘The Canyons’

Perhaps due to the film noir content of the story, the folks behind the Bret Easton Ellis-penned The Canyons released a teaser yesterday in the style of a 1950s trailer.

In the film, Lindsay Lohan stars opposite porn star James Deen, one of the two men the trailer claims she must choose between. The acting in the trailer seems a bit cheesy, but I'm truly hoping that it's just confined to the trailer itself and not the film! Directed by Paul Shrader, the film has a slated 2013 release with no exact date set just yet.
