Jason Segel Off The Muppets Sequel

Jason Segel will not be returning to film another Muppets movie.
The How I Met Your Mother actor - who played the role of Gary in the picture, as well as working as an executive producer and writer - is glad to have had a part in the musical puppet project, but is keen to move on to other things.
"My goal was to bring The Muppets back and I did that leaving them in very good hands, my writing partner and James Bobin the director. I did what I set out to do, and now I wanna pursue more human-related projects."
However, Jason - who starred alongside Amy Adams as the main human character in the well-received movie starring Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog - may return in some behind-the-scenes capacity: "All I wanted to do was to set the stage for them to do whatever they wanted. I'm sure I'll return in some capacity here and there, but that was half a decade of my life. Five years of hard work. I'm ready for a little puppet break."

Amy Adams to Team with The Muppets
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Disney, Family, Casting, Upcoming Releases,
I think we’re about to exceed the cuteness-to-movie length ratio. Amy Adams is in end-stage negotiations to star in Disney’s upcoming Muppets movie. Adams will star along Jason Segel, who will portray her love interest.
Maybe it’s not the most serious role an actress could hope to snag, but Adams owes a lot to Disney. Amy got her first big break in 2007 with Enchanted, Disney’s live-action take on the classic fairy tale. Adams nailed the role and became an overnight sensation - so what’s the occasional puppet movie, every few years or so?
Production on the new Muppets movie is scheduled to begin next month. The Muppets will be released next Christmas.

It’s that time of year when it’s unsafe to enter a department store, when televised specials are vying to offer you the biggest stars and most touching moments. When ancient movies get dredged up for our entertainment. There is one holiday-themed tale which is so predominant, no winter season would be complete without it. This only begs one question: which version will you watch?
A Christmas Carol is one of the most re-made movies in cinematic history - even Disney is in on the action. But the story itself is even older than Hollywood. A Christmas Carol was originally written by Charles Dickens, and first hit the scene way back in 1843. More than one hundred years later, it’s still one of the most widely-recognized holiday stories in history.
And if you want to enjoy this time-honored tale of redemption, you’ll have more than your fair share of opportunity. How many ways can you enjoy Dickens this year?
