"I don't want to give away too much, but I'll just give a couple pieces of ideas that we've kicked around. Keep in mind we're still writing the story, but I'll say one phrase for you: custody battle. I'll give you that. I'll give you one other one: bowling for dollars," he said.

Adam also admits the follow-up has been a long-time coming because of problems with scheduling and the studio, who were not too fussed about making a sequel:

Dumb and Dumber 2 to Shoot This Year

Dumb and DumberA Dumb and Dumber sequel will start shooting in September.

Peter Farrelly - who directed the first instalment of the comedy film in 1994 - has confirmed Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are on board to create the follow-up, which will not be similar to Dumb and Dumberer, a 2003 prequel in which neither of them starred.

"We're getting set to shoot Dumb and Dumber 2 in September. It's the first sequel we've ever done and we've got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back. We did not do Dumb and Dumberer. That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, 'We've got to do this thing again,'" Peter said.

No story is yet known for the picture. The first film told the tale of two idiotic friends - Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne - and their mis-adventures on a road trip around the country. It took $247 million at the international box office.

Woman in Black Sequel Planned

Woman in BlackA Woman in Black follow-up is in development. Studio Hammer is teaming with Alliance Films and Cross Creek Pictures to work on the project, which will be called The Woman in Black: Angels of Death and will take place 40 years after the original movie.

Jon Croker - who worked as a story editor on the first film - will write the picture, with Roy Lee executively producing. It is not believed Daniel Radcliffe, who played the leading character in the first movie, will return as the story will focus on a couple who move into eerie Eel Marsh House four decades after the setting of the original. No director has yet been signed up either.

The Woman in Black has so far taken $120 million at the box office internationally, and marked the first major movie for Daniel following his career in the Harry Potter franchise. Speaking about his break away from playing the boy wizard previously, Daniel revealed his working from a young age made him protective over other youngsters on set:

Liam Neeson Confirmed for The Dark Knight Rises

Liam Neeson as Ra's al GhulLiam Neeson's rumored role in The Dark Knight Rises has been confirmed.

The 59-year-old actor will reprise his part of Ra's al Ghul for the forthcoming movie, despite his character being killed off in 2005's Batman Begins, with the news revealed in Warner Bros' production notes for his latest film Wrath of the Titans.

"Neeson next appears in Peter Berg's action flick Battleship, and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated action thriller The Dark Knight Rises," the note read.

The confirmation comes amid speculation Liam would star as Ra's al Ghul in flashback scenes after he was previously spotted on set dressed as the character. However, Liam insists he is only going to have a "cameo" appearance in the motion picture. When asked if he is appearing in The Dark Knight Rises, he told CNN, "I think so. I have no idea what the story is about. Nothing. Nothing. Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm still in it. It's a cameo - let's put it that way - if it still survives."

Angelina Jolie Rejects Salt Sequel

Angelina Jolie in SaltAngelina Jolie has reportedly rejected a script for Salt 2.

The 36-year-old actress has been reading Kurt Wimmer's script for the proposed sequel to the 2010 action blockbuster - in which she plays a CIA agent trying to prove she is not a Russian spy - but was unhappy with the project and refused to sign off on the draft.

Columbia Pictures have now asked the writer to pen a new draft in the hope Angelina will continue her commitment to the project, website Moviehole reports.

Angelina previously admitted she loves starring in Salt because it stopped her feeling "soft" after giving birth to twins Knox and Vivienne in July 2008: "It was difficult to switch to being an action hero for a minute. But it was so nice to have an excuse to get out of bed and get back in action and not feel so soft with the pregnancy and all that comes with it after."

However, she did occasionally have times when she felt like she should be back at home.

Jason Segel Off The Muppets Sequel

Jason SegelJason Segel will not be returning to film another Muppets movie.

The How I Met Your Mother actor - who played the role of Gary in the picture, as well as working as an executive producer and writer - is glad to have had a part in the musical puppet project, but is keen to move on to other things.

"My goal was to bring The Muppets back and I did that leaving them in very good hands, my writing partner and James Bobin the director. I did what I set out to do, and now I wanna pursue more human-related projects."

However, Jason - who starred alongside Amy Adams as the main human character in the well-received movie starring Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog - may return in some behind-the-scenes capacity: "All I wanted to do was to set the stage for them to do whatever they wanted. I'm sure I'll return in some capacity here and there, but that was half a decade of my life. Five years of hard work. I'm ready for a little puppet break."

And Peter, of course, is going to do it right after he finishes photography on The Hobbit. He'll go right into the 31, 21 days of performance capture. We're not telling the world what books we're basing the second movie on yet," Spielberg said.

Despite Steven refusing to reveal which tomes will be used on the second Tintin movie, producer Kathleen Kennedy recently hinted The Calculus Affair is a strong possibility.

Brad Pitt’s World War Z to Be a Trilogy?

Brad Pitt on the set of World War ZBrad Pitt's World War Z is being considered as a potential trilogy. Director Marc Foster and Paramount Pictures are both thought to view the post-apocalyptic horror film as a trilogy, which could see the 48-year-old star finally get a big movie franchise of his own.

The motion picture - which is set to be released later this year - sees Brad portray the role of a United Nations fact-finder and family man who travels around the world to visit survivors of a zombie apocalypse which is referred to as World War Z. Should the film be turned into a trilogy, it is thought it will take on the same realism of Matt Damon's Bourne series.

Brad recently starred as Billy Beane in baseball drama movie Moneyball and director Bennett Miller - who stepped in following the summer 2009 departure of Steven Soderbergh, who had been developing the script for two years - found the Hollywood actor's experience on both sides of the camera to be invaluable: "You work all day with Brad the actor and there's that energy, and then we'd wrap at the end of the day and maybe half an hour later we'd get together in this little area outside his trailer and he'd be Brad the producer. We would look at the next day, just go over things and maybe have a glass of wine. Sometimes it would be two or three hours of discussing and planning, and it's pretty exhausting making a movie, but it became this ritual for us. And then early the next morning, Brad the actor is back, being on set and making things happen in a totally different way."

Kristen Wiig Won’t Write or Star in Bridesmaids Sequel

Kristen Wiig at the Bridesmaids premiereKirsten Wiig won't write or star in any potential Bridesmaids sequel. Universal is keen to capitalize on the success of the comedy - which grossed $288 million worldwide and was produced for just $32 million - with a follow-up film, but the actress, who co-wrote the script with writing partner Annie Mumolo, is busy with other commitments.

"We aren't working on that. Annie and I aren't planning a sequel. We are writing something else," Kristen said.

A Universal source added to The Hollywood Reporter, "We are over the moon with the success of Bridesmaids, and if we do a sequel we want to get it right. We are talking to filmmakers now about concepts, and if the right one emerges, we'll move forward."

Producer Judd Apatow is open to a sequel, but only if the idea is "great" and insiders believe he will only stay involved if Kristen remains on board: "The key is we have to come up with an idea that is as good or better than the first one. We don't want to do it unless it can be great. I don't think anyone has had the brain space to think about it yet. Hopefully that can begin this year."
