Charlie Sheen’s Spider-Man Dreams

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen always wanted to play Spider-Man.

The Anger Management star revealed he once tried to buy the rights to the comic book and star in a big screen adaptation featuring the superhero and his alter-ego Peter Parker, but he was talked out of it.

Speaking on podcast Mohr Stories, he told Jay Mohr, "I had an office at Orion and I brought them Spider-Man. I said 'Look, in a couple of years, I'll be too old to play Peter Parker. And they said, 'Yeah we're just thinking that cartoons are not the future, comic books are not the future.' And I said, 'But it's 'Spider-Man. I'm perfect.' I had a guy who was going to get the rights for me."

However, the company talked him out of the idea, which Charlie says is something they should regret after later going into bankruptcy. "They were like, 'Nah, we're gonna wait.' They didn't know s**t," he said.

Edward Norton Not Keen on Superhero Movies

Edward NortonEdward Norton has no desire to star in superhero movies like The Avengers.

The 42-year-old actor missed out on reprising his role as The Hulk/Bruce Banner in this year's Marvel movie for "personal and professional" reasons, but he isn't bothered about appearing in any future incarnations of the franchise, or similar films.

"I couldn't do it for a variety of reasons - personal and professional. I had a blast doing The Hulk. I don't mean to sound snotty but I don't aspire to spend that much time in my life doing those types of films. I have a lot of other things I want to do."

While the Fight Club actor is keen to distance himself from such fantasy films, he is disappointed that film studios have become reluctant to make "more thoughtful" movies for adults. "Studios aren't as willing to make mid-budget, more thoughtful films aimed at adults. It's more challenging to get those films made than it was. There's been a shift from people buying DVDs to streaming them online. The studios have been asleep at the switch and suffered a huge loss of revenue from falling DVD sales. Unfortunately, that revenue was often what helped convince them to make films which aren't blockbusters," he added.

Mila Kunis at the Ted premiereMila Kunis has no shame. The Ted actress doesn't mind starring in movies with gross out humor, something other young actresses might balk at, because she has finds them funny.

"I really have no shame. I think that certain things are funny and certain things are okay to make fun of--including myself. I think that you have to laugh at the absurdity of this entire industry and the absurdity of what it is we do. If I didn't, I'd go crazy," she said.

Mila, 28, also feels lucky that she can pick and choose what roles she takes on because she is financially secure from her long-running roles on TV show That 70s Show and cartoon Family Guy.

"After doing a TV show for eight years and a cartoon for more than a decade, you are, financially speaking, in a very lucky position where you don't have to work for the sake of working. And I decided to take advantage of that. I don't live lavishly, so it's not like I have 20 assistants and travel privately and shop every day. I actually live a very mediocre lifestyle. So I decided to step back and do things not just for the sake of doing them, but because I believe in them and I want to do them," she told James Franco for Interview Magazine.

Anne Hathaway Loved Beating Up Men ‘Too Much’ in Dark Knight Rises

Anne Hathaway at The Dark Knight Rises premiereAnne Hathaway enjoyed beating up men "a little too much" in The Dark Knight Rises.

The 29-year-old actress plays Catwoman in the Batman movie, and she loved grappling with guys in a more action-packed role than she usually takes on.

"Being in the movie was fun because I had to learn to beat up guys - I enjoyed that a little too much," she said,
speaking at the European premiere of The Dark Knight Rises at London's Leicester Square last night.

Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the third movie in Christopher Nolan's trilogy, and Anne found the 38-year-old star "really inspiring" to act alongside: "The first minute you work with Christian Bale it's just amazing. Robert Pattinson Wants to Play James Bond

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson wants to take on the role of James Bond after 20 more years of experience in his acting career. The 26-year-old star wants to play Ian Fleming's iconic spy but thinks he'll be perfect for the role in two more decades.

"Yeah, I'd definitely like to go for Bond, but in more like 20 years. There'd be nothing worse than, like, 'Let's get a fresh-faced Bond!' That would be the worst idea in the world. It would be ridiculous to reinvent it as some young posh kid. After Daniel Craig you have to have some baggage. I'd have to be tortured in the first few scenes. I'd have to do the first film with one arm or something."

The Twilight Saga star added that he is becoming more conscious about his health as he gets older: "I think 26 is the turning point. I've got to make up for 10 years of living like a degenerate. I've suddenly become conscious of being unhealthy. You've spent every bit of free time since the age of 15 in a pub. And suddenly you're like: 'Oh God, I don't want to be this grey ghost sitting there with a pot belly. I've got to get it together.'"

Adrien Brody’s Movie Depression

Adrien Brody in The PianistAdrien Brody was "seriously depressed" for a year after making The Pianist.

The 39-year-old actor - who, at 29, became the youngest person to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the drama - admits playing a Polish-Jewish musician in the World War II film took its toll because he had immersed himself so deeply in the role.

"It was all consuming. For a good year after, I was probably seriously depressed. There were severe transitions that I put myself through physically and emotionally... I shot it when I was 27, and that was my real awakening and entrance into adulthood, that responsibility, and awareness of my own good fortune that I had taken for granted," said Adrien, who lost a substantial amount of weight for the film.

The Detachment star - who began acting when he was 13 years old - thinks he was mature and sensible from a young age because being an only child meant he had to take responsibility for his actions: "I think it forced me to be mature, because I had to be accountable when I came home. I couldn't run off and blame it on my brother or sister. I had to be accountable."

Emma Stone’s ‘Morbid Curiosity’ About Stacy

Emma Stone as Gwen StacyEmma Stone had a "morbid curiosity" about her character in The Amazing Spider-Man.

The actress was thrilled to land the role of the superhero's first love Gwen Stacy in the new movie because she is fascinated with their tragic romance which ends in Gwen's death in the comic book series.

"I think I have a morbid curiosity. I've always had this awareness of my own mortality, so it's like, 'Wow, that's pretty epic.' And also the way her death goes is so heart-wrenching and so tragic, it's not just her death but it's all the other elements of it that are a huge draw to the character. Does that sound f****d up? I thought it was awesome. I just thought it was just staggering, and so bold. And I know people boycotted the comics when it happened. It's a really wild and oddly very exciting element for me to play. There's a little insight into my psyche."

Robert Pattinson Rules Out Twilight Return

Robert Pattinson as Edward CullenRobert Pattinson doesn't think he'd return to the Twilight Saga for "a billion dollars."

The British actor has portrayed vampire Edward Cullen in all five movies of the series and admits the thing he was most pleased about coming to an end was wearing uncomfortable contact lenses for the role.

"It's a relief not to put the contact lenses in. It's been absolutely awful having those stupid things in my eyes. Even if they said, 'We'll give you a billion dollars to do it again,' I don't know that I'd want to."

Robert can next be seen starring as billionaire tycoon Eric Packer in Cosmopolis and says the film has given him the "happiest moments" of his life: "I saw Cosmopolis and liked it. I don't normally like my stuff but I didn't really recognize myself. I was so terrified to do it at the beginning and thought I was going to f**k it up and everyone's going to say, '[Director] David Cronenberg's sold out...' so to get it to Cannes was the coolest thing ever. Getting this movie, getting it into Cannes and getting the movie I got recently are three of the happiest moments of my life."

Robert Pattinson: I’m Not Buff Enough For Action Movies

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson isn't "buff enough" to be an action star.

The Twilight Saga hunk admitted he would prefer to make smaller, gritty dramas rather than take on blockbuster roles because he thinks he doesn't have the physique to be an action hero.

"If there is a way to maintain a career doing small, interesting movies I would take that option. I'm not buff enough for robot movies."

Robert also revealed he lacks confidence in his abilities and isn't expecting anyone to go wild for his latest movie Cosmopolis: "That's my biggest problem, confidence. I'm taking baby steps and hoping people will keep employing me. I can't see tons of people watching Cosmopolis and screaming at it. It would be amazing if they did."
