New Iron Man 2 Poster Gives Us Whiplash

Move over War Machine, it’s time for something with a lot more hair.
In this new poster for Iron Man 2, Mickey Rourke is featured as Whiplash (a.k.a. Ivan Venko), Tony Stark’s Russian nemesis. It’s a role the Oscar nominee almost didn’t take due to contract negotiations. (I’m guessing the studio will easily get its money’s worth.)
To get a better look at Rourke’s body art and Nicolas Cage-esque ‘do, check out a different picture of him in character after the jump.
Iron Man 2 storms into theaters on May 7.

Move over, Batman and Robin—we’ve got a couple of cooler superheroes hitting the big screen.
In the latest promotional poster for next year’s much-anticipated summer blockbuster Iron Man 2, Don Cheadle’s character, War Machine, is featured standing behind Robert Downey Jr.‘s suited-up Tony Stark.
How bad-ass is that image? They pair practically take up the whole poster! Oh what CGI goodness awaits us with those action scenes; May 7 just cannot come quick enough.

Ooh Jacob - what new beefy biceps you have…
Two pieces of good news for Twilight fans today. In addition to this glimpse at what New Moon will have to offer (a love triangle!!), a fourth installment of the film has already been confirmed. (Apparently the studio didn’t need to know how the third - or the second - one would do.)
No production start date has yet been announced for Breaking Dawn. In the meantime, Moon will arrive in theaters on November 20 while Eclipse is scheduled for a June 30, 2010 debut.

Sacha Baron Cohen Teases with New Bruno Poster
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Universal, Comedy, Upcoming Releases,
Just because Sacha Baron Cohen‘s R-rated now doesn’t mean he can’t show off his assets.
Although it was originally slapped with an NC-17, an edited version of Brüno has made its way past the MPAA censors. (If you want to guess which scenarios were trimmed, you can view the red band trailer here.) Those old enough to see the original version will most likely see the cuts in the DVD release.
The cringe-inducing mockumentary will hit the catwalk on July 10. Until then, you can learn much more about the flamboyant Austrian fashionista through his “MeinSpace” page.

I have no idea why children might run crying from this movie.
After enduring rumors of reshoots and terrifying test screenings, Spike Jonze‘s Where the Wild Things Are will finally unfold in theaters on October 16. (That’s nearly one year after its original release date.) The adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s popular children’s book will combine live-action, CGI, animatronics and enormous puppets to tell its story.
The film, shot in Australia, stars Forest Whitaker, Paul Dano and Catherine Kenner. You can see two more stills from movie after the jump.

The MPAA-Approved Zack and Miri Poster
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Weinstein Company, Comedy, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
Now you really didn’t think the MPAA would make things easy for Kevin Smith, did ya?
Back in July, we told you the Clerks director was having difficulty securing an R-rating for his new film. Although Smith has since successfully appealed, he’s also been forced to rework his movie’s poster.
In Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks star as financially-strapped roomies. When the two find themselves in desperate straits, they decide to produce their own adult films.
The new promo recently created for the comedy can be seen above. The original ad rejected by the Motion Picture Association of America can be seen after the jump.

Keira Knightley Takes a Stand Against Photoshop
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Paramount, Adventure, Drama, Foreign, Period, Political, Romance, Box Office, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Distribution, Rumors, Upcoming Releases,
Despite past alterations of her breasts for publicity, Pirates of the Caribbean beauty Keira Knightley has finally put her foot down about the issue for her upcoming film.
Back in 2004, promotional posters for her film King Arthur raised her eyebrows as they appeared as if she had received an enlargement procedure she did not recall. “Those things certainly weren’t mine,” she said in a 2006 interview, despite the fact that upon her approval, she had told marketing, “OK, fine. I honestly don’t give a s—-.”
This time around, Knightley isn’t as disinterested about her chest in The Duchess. Instead, she has told studio executives that she refuses to have her physique altered in any way for promotional purposes. Kudos to Keira for sticking up for those who aren’t as gifted as most celebrities nowadays!
What’s sad is the fact that she has to fight. Gotta love a society that has to enlarge a woman’s bosom in order to bump up ticket sales, eh?
