Liberty Ross Bans Rupert Sanders From Snow White Sequel

Kristen Stewart with Rupert Sanders and his wife Liberty Ross insetRupert Sanders' wife has banned him from directing Snow White and the Huntsman 2.

The 41-year-old filmmaker was lined up to return to the helm for the sequel but Liberty Ross has warned him to stay away if he wants to save their marriage following the revelation he cheated on her with the film's star Kristen Stewart.

"Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can't direct the sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman. They are trying to work things out after he was caught having an affair, and that is one of the sticking points. She just doesn't want him to ever work with Kristen again. Rupert is obviously disappointed because Snow White and the Huntsman was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews. But he knows his actions were inexcusable, and he's going to have to bite the bullet and listen to his wife on this one," a source said.

The insider claimed studio Universal are prepared to find a new director, as Rupert never signed an official contract and they are determined to keep their lead actress.

Snow White and the Huntsman Sequel Confirmed

Snow White and the HuntsmanA Snow White and the Huntsman sequel has been confirmed.

The fantasy adventure movie - starring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth as the titular characters - took more than $55 million at the box office over its opening weekend, leading to Warner Bros. greenlighting a follow-up.

David Koepp has been commissioned to write the new script, which will pick up after the events of the first movie. Kristen and Chris will return as they are both optioned for two more movies although it is unclear if there will be a role for Charlize Theron's evil queen. There is also no word on if director Rupert Sanders - who made his feature film debut with Snow White and the Huntsman - will return for the sequel.

Chris and Kristen have previously joked that they are writing the follow-up but conceded it probably wouldn't be very successful. When Kristen was asked if she was writing a movie with boyfriend Robert Pattinson, the actress said, "No," but Chris claimed he and the actress are working on a script.

Kristen Stewart Not Worried About Her Films’ Success

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celeb News, Filmmaking, Scripts,

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart never thinks about how successful her movies are going to be when she signs up.

The 22-year-old actress - who has starred in one of the best-received movie franchises of all time as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga - no longer thinks about how her films affect people because she has to decide if she likes them first of all.

"I couldn't imagine doing a project with the idea of how it's going to affect people. It really has to affect you first, and if it does, then maybe it will affect other people ... I think that people who don't have that are clearly choosing things to become famous actresses. They're clearly choosing things to make money. I mean, I love Los Angeles - I love living here. But I wish that we could make things without the need to hit a home run every single time."

Kristen admits she feels very grateful to have experience so much success in her shirt career and she realizes she is privileged to have worked with so many talented actors: "I feel so extremely successful - and not just because I can greenlight a movie now. It's because I've really only worked with people that I truly love."

Charlie Sheen to Appear at MTV Movie Awards

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Awards, New Releases, Rumors,

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen will make a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards 2012.

The former Two and a Half Men actor has been lined up for a stint on stage at this weekend's ceremony according to a report. Charlie will introduce a tribute to party films and will announce musical act Wiz Khalifa, who was recently arrested for marijuana possession.

"Even though Charlie has cleaned up his act, he still has a sense of humor about his out-of-control days," a source told E! News.

"It's all going to be a really big party moment," another source said.

Also at the event on Sunday night Kristen Stewart will present a section with her Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Chris Hemsworth. Meanwhile, her boyfriend and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 co-star Robert Pattinson will not be attending this year. Russell Brand will host the bash.

Kristen Stewart: Adele Helped Me Prepare for Battle Scenes

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart listened to Adele's music to prepare for the battle scenes in Snow White and the Huntsman.

The 22-year-old actress found the British singer-songwriter's emotional power ballads to be the perfect soundtrack to her character's attempt to win back her kingdom in the big screen reworking of the Snow White fairytale.

"I had Adele on my iPod all the time while doing Snow White. I choreographed whole marches with the army behind me to Adele in my one ear. Adele is really good for the Snow White story. Almost oddly good. She hits the nail on the head for me, and her words are incredible," she said.

Kristen is eager to leave comparisons to her Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn character Bella Swan behind but admitted there are some similarities between Bella and Snow: "How do I compare Bella from Breaking Dawn with Snow White? I guess the only actual comparison - and a million could be drawn - is that they are both very, very strong matriarchs that need to find that position in life. They're both icons. I didn't grow up on fairy tales. People kept saying to me, 'Oh, like us you grew up with this story.' My answer is, 'No, not really. I didn't.' But then again, I didn't grow up with vampires either. Both of these tales were given to me through scripts. I've been really lucky. When it comes to Snow White now I think I know her better than most because there really is such a back story behind what's a simple fairy tale."

Kristen Stewart ‘Hates’ Girl Power Movies

Kristen Stewart as Snow WhiteKristen Stewart "hates" girl power films. The 22-year-old actress enjoys portraying physically and mentally strong characters and she was excited to play Snow White in her latest movie Snow White and the Huntsman because her alter-ego has "gusto and kicks ass."

"I hate girl power movies, when the people you're rooting for are not girls. That's what I was attracted to. I've always wanted to find a role where I can challenge myself physically, I really like getting the opportunity to hurt myself for the job but what I loved was that Snow White is someone who has the gusto and kicks ass but she's not a dude. She remains, steady. I'm not built to be physically strong, you have to outsmart someone, you have to be physically and mentally quicker, you have to have a strong heart."

Kristen was keen to play Snow White to "push" herself, and she particularly enjoyed playing the character when she overcame fears within the storyline: "Nothing is that simple. Every time Snow White has to do something and not be crippled by fear I'm into that, one of the things I wanted to do was see how far I could push myself. The reason they hire these big huge burly dudes to work on these movies is because it's hard."

Kristen Stewart Wants to Work with Pattinson Again

Robert Pattinson and Kristen StewartKristen Stewart is "dying to" make another movie with Robert Pattinson.

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress is desperate to work with her boyfriend - whom she has been dating since they began working on the Twilight Saga film series - again and is looking for a "ridiculously ambitious" project to star with him in.

Asked if she would be interested in appearing in the forthcoming big screen adaptation of E. L. James' best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey, she told Celebuzz, "I haven't read the book yet, so I don't know. But I'm dying to make another movie with Rob. I think we're a good team, and whatever it is needs to be so ridiculously ambitious ... but I'd love to work with him again."

Kristen recently revealed Robert was a big fan of her work in Snow White and the Huntsman: "He likes it. He really likes it. It's cool. It's good. I'm really proud of it."

Robert Pattinson Scared of Sex Scene

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Breakin Dawn - Part 1Robert Pattinson was "scared" when he had to film a sex scene with girlfriend Kristen Stewart

The 25-year-old star and the brunette beauty performed a raunchy scene in which they break the bed in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, and the actor admits he felt more distracted looking for his cue rather than romantic.

"I've never done a sex scene where it's kind of scary because you think something is going to fall on you! There was a whole stunt set up with three guys, who do all the explosions and things, all lying under the bed. I spent the whole time looking at them for a signal. It was funny, though!"

The British actor has taken Kristen to the UK on a number of occasions, but the US-born actress is "always amazed" at how many people go to the pub during their lunchtime. "I probably spend more time in the UK than Los Angeles, but I've been so busy traveling with work that I don't really know where I'm going to be based full-time yet. She's always amazed by the fact that it is totally acceptable to go to a pub at lunchtime over here. I don't even do that."

Michelle Trachtenberg Could Have Been Bella Swan

Michelle TrachtenbergBuffy the Vampire Slayer alum Michelle Trachtenberg recently revealed that she could have portrayed Bella Swan in Twilight, had it not been for scheduling conflicts.

Trachtenberg, known for her roles in the vampire series as well as Gossip Girl, opened up about the opportunity: "There was definitely interest here and there because there's only so few pale girls in Hollywood... I guess schedules never worked out."

She was, however, quick to point out that she doesn't have any regrets about turning down the role, which later went to Kristen Stewart: "I already have Buffy. I've already done the vampire thing."

When asked about how her life and career would be different if she had taken the part, she would rather not think about it altogether: "You're not living in the moment and you're looking negatively at what you're doing now."
