Efron vs. Timberlake: Who’s Going to Memphis?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Musicals, Period, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Rumors,
Forget that silly Team Edward vs. Team Jacob rivalry. The real question is “Are you Team Zac or Team Justin?”
That’s the unfortunate decision one studio may have to make if an adaptation of Memphis comes to fruition. The Broadway production could soon be headed to the big screen, and rumor has it Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake are both interested in the same role.

First Look: Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz in Bad Teacher
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Columbia Pictures, Comedy, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Upcoming Releases,
See that look in Cameron Diaz‘s eyes? That’s the look of a woman who is out on the prowl. And in this case—Justin Timberlake is her target.
No - this is not a paparazzi photo of the two dancing at some night club. These scene is from Bad Teacher, a film the former real-life lovebirds are shooting together. In the Jake Kasdan-directed comedy, Diaz plays a money hungry 7th grade teacher who sets her sights on Timberlake, a substitute who comes from a wealthy family.
“They have a shared sense of humor,” Kasdan told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s easy for them to be funny together. You know where the jokes are.”
So will Justin fall for her boozy charm…and will Jessica Biel have to booze it up before attending the red carpet premiere? Find out when Teacher debuts next year.

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz Reunite….for New Movie
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Columbia Pictures, Comedy, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Upcoming Releases,
This may be too awkward to not watch.
Three years after breaking up, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are reuniting once again. The one-time couple of nearly four years are both set to star in Bad Teacher, a comedy from Walk Hard‘s Jake Kasdan.
Although the two technically worked on Shrek the Third together (and will both be heard on Shrek Forever After), this film will bring their working relationship to a different level. In Teacher, Cameron will play a gold-digging teacher who competes with a colleague for the affections of a well-off substitute teacher (Timberlake). I can just see the two of them - and Jessica Biel - on the red carpet together now…
Filming on Bad Teacher is scheduled to start this month. Jason Segel, Molly Shannon, Eric Stonestreet and John Michael Higgins will all co-star.

Justin Timberlake Indirectly Funds British Horror Film
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Horror, Independent, Celeb News, Filmmaking, Rumors, Upcoming Releases,
Justin Timberlake helped fund Colin, an ultra-low budget British horror movie, without even knowing it!
Marc Price, who claims that he made his debut film for just $70, said he never bought any make-up for the zombies and instead relied on what his makeup artist friends could donate from jobs where they hadn’t used everything up.
“The girl who was our head of makeup was cool because she was doing a lot of pop promos at the time—she didn’t need much liquid latex for Justin Timberlake so she was able to leave quite a lot with us.”
Marc also said his team had a few run-ins with the general public when they were filming some of the film’s gorier scenes: “The most crazy was when we had a scene with a guy having his face ripped off. I had the video camera in one hand and I was ripping off the face with the other hand, then all of a sudden this woman peered over, and said, ‘excuse me…’—she ignored the camera and ignored the fact I was ripping his face off, she thought it was real—and she said ‘excuse me are you ok? Do you want any help?’”
Colin is due in theaters on October 23 and is available on DVD on October 26.
Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg Sign on to Facebook Film
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Columbia Pictures, Biopics, Drama, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Upcoming Releases,
Is Justin Timberlake finally receiving a chance to redeem his box office flops?
Columbia Pictures and Fight Club director David Fincher think that the pop star’s got what it takes to play Facebook founder Sean Parker in The Social Network, a drama surrounding the rise of the most-visited networking site on the internet.
Timberlake will be joined by Zombieland‘s
Michael Cera
Jesse Eisenberg, who will play the site’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Andrew Garfield, who will portray co-founder Eduardo Saverin (he later had a fallout with Zuckerberg over money).
Kevin Spacey has signed on as executive producer while Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Cean Chaffin will produce. Filming is set to start next month in Boston and later move to Los Angeles.
