Ashley Tisdale Rules Out Nude Scenes

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celeb News,

Ashley Tisdale on 'Maxim'Ashley Tisdale would never go topless on screen.

Although the 27-year-old actress recently posed for the new issue of Maxim magazine in just an open leather jacket and underwear, she draws the line at baring all onscreen.

"I don't think I'd ever do a topless role. I'll do drama and stuff but I don't think I'll ever go topless for something. I'm very comfortable in my body. I'm definitely more of a comedian. I don't really take myself too seriously," she said.

However, the High School Musical star loved taking part in the sexy shoot for the men's magazine and hasn't ruled out similar work in the future: "Maxim was fun and I was really excited.. It was shot at the beach in Malibu, and I'm, like, a beach type of person. I feel like it was cool."

‘Scary Movie 5’ Producer: Lindsay Is Troubled

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan is a "troubled human," according to Scary Movie 5 writer-producer David Zucker. The 26-year-old star has the potential to be a "really good" actress if she puts her wild antics behind after completing her upcoming 90-day stint in rehab as part of her plea deal on charges of lying to police about driving during a car crash in June 2012.

Speaking at the Hollywood premiere of the new horror/comedy sequel at the ArcLight Cimenas Cinerama Dome, David told the New York Daily News, "She's a troubled human and she was late a lot to the set, but she knew her lines and she's a good actress. This seems to be the business for all these addictions and craziness. Anybody has the potential to come back and straighten out."

Lindsay arrived fashionably late to the premiere, sauntering into the cinema 30 minutes after her co-stars and muttering, "Jesus!" when she saw how many photographers were waiting to catch a glimpse of her. One of her entourage insisted, "She's really happy to be here."

Vanessa Hudgens Excited for High School Spin-Off

Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale is looking forward to seeing High School Musical spin-off Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

The 21-year-old star admits she would not be going back to the musical franchise for a long-term role, but would make a cameo in the -led movie if asked.

“If she’s like, ‘Hey!’ I’d be like, ‘OK!’, Well, she’s my best, best friend. I don’t know.  I’m stoked for her and it’s going to be awesome. Kids love Sharpay and I did love Sharpay too, her costumes and her clothes and everything. It’s so much fun, so I’m really glad she’s doing it.”

Discussing the possibility of her character Gabriella Montez making a comeback, Vanessa told MTV News, “I don’t think my character has as many fun costumes as she does. So it’s not worth it.”

Shooting on Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure is due to begin this summer with a premiere in 2011.

Ashley Tisdale shops with her ultimate role model, mother Lisa

Ashley Tisdale aspires to be like her mother.

The High School Musical actress doesn’t have any interest in emulating her favorite actors, but would love to follow in her mother Lisa Tisdale’s footsteps.

“My mom is very confident, and she was always a role model of mine. I never really looked up to celebrities when I was young.” What a far cry from Lindsay Lohan’s role model!

Box Office Breakdown: Audiences Drawn to Funny People

Funny People

When you combine the talents of , Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow, a 1st place finish shouldn’t shock you. A $22.7 million haul? That is surprising.

Despite earning enough to displace G-Force for the weekend’s top spot, failed to bring the movie house down. The 144-minute length dramedy pulled in the lowest gross for any #1 entry this summer. While the film did better than any of Sandler’s dramatic efforts, it didn’t fall line with his comedic outings.

On the other hand, Rogen and Apatow had more reason to be pleased with the box office results. The Universal pic gave Seth his best debut since 2007’s Superbad. Meanwhile, Funny fell right in between The 40-Year-Old Virgin ($21.4 million) and ($30.7 million) for Judd.

Box Office Breakdown: A Bloody Good Weekend for Twilight

Twilight

Although Disney features typically find a place at the top of the pack, the studio’s cute puppy was outmatched by a hot vampire this weekend. After pulling in $35.9 million on Friday ($7 million of which was earned at midnight), went on to suck up nearly $70 million in total. The film’s first day take alone was enough for Summit Entertainment to immediately greenlight a sequel. (A script for New Moon had already been in the works.)

The Stephenie Meyers adaptation - which was originally slated to premiere on December 12 - undoubtedly owes Warner Bros. partial credit for its success. Had the studio not chosen to move until next year, Twilight would most likely have debuted in fewer theaters. The Catherine Hardwicke film also wouldn’t have become the highest opener ever for a female director. (Deep Impact, helmed by Mimi Leder, took home $41.2 million in 1998.)

Box Office Breakdown: Record Showing for 007

Quantum of Solace

In the battle of Bond vs. Bourne, Jason won out this time…though not by much.

Although it was initially believed would break the $70 million mark, the final numbers for the Sony/MGM film came up slightly short. The 22nd Bond installment hauled in $67.5 million this weekend, just under $2 million shy of the debut for The Bourne Ultimatum. (The 2007 premiered to $69.3 million.)

But don’t feeling sorry for . The actor has helped to revitalize the franchise in a big way. Quantum officially just became the best opener of all the 007 films. (Die Another Day grossed $47.1 million back in 2002.) The movie is also on pace to to beat the theatrical run record set by Casino Royale. (The 2006 film eventually pocketed $167.4 million domestically.)
