Arrested Development Stars Talk About Planned Movie
Michael Cera can’t wait to work with his Arrested Development “family” again.
The actor, who was unhappy when the sitcom was canceled in 2006, is looking forward to reteaming with Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, and David Cross for a movie version next year.
“I’m really excited to get to be around everyone again. It was so weird when the show was cancelled. You’re doing a TV show, and it feels like family, and then you’re not doing it anymore,” he said. “It was a really strange thing to leave. I’m excited to be around them all again. I think sometime next year, hopefully, we’ll be shooting. I think that’s realistic.”
Jason recently admitted he was concerned about fan interest in a big screen production. “Perhaps that ship has sailed,” Bateman stated.
