The Discovery Channel brought us while the History Channel introduced us to Ice Road Truckers. Now, G4 is planning to spotlight one of the most explosive jobs around.

Inspired by the Oscar-winning film , the cable channel has ordered a 10-episode series based on the “brave men and women who diffuse and dismantle explosives” on a daily basis.

Cameras will follow team members of a U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit as they train in the United States. The TV crew will letter be embedded with the platoon when they are deployed to Afghanistan.

“There is simply no way to comprehend the incredible amount of pressure and split-second decisionmaking these individuals must undertake in the worst possible physical conditions without riding along with them as our cameras will do,” G4 president Neal Tiles said a statement. “This is a rare opportunity to showcase the work of the courageous men and women on the front lines and share with our viewers all the real-life drama, teamwork, danger and triumph that goes along with this specialized job.”
