The new film will be dubbed The Power of the Dark Crystal, and will feature real puppetry alongside CGI. Likely it will be shown in 3D as well, since this is the latest Hollywood fad (thanks, ). The Henson Co., together with an Australian production company, has been working on the movie for years. A statement about the sequel tells us that the flick is “set hundreds of years after the events of the first movie, when the world has once again fallen into darkness.” The movie “follows the adventures of a mysterious girl made of fire who, together with a Gelfling outcast, steals a shard of the legendary Crystal in an attempt to reignite the dying sun.”
