Olympus m:robe 500 Info
Okay, here is the skinny on the Olympus m:robe 500 that you saw insanely odd commercials for during last nights Superbowl - so you can stop emailing me about it now! Anyway, as you saw, the m:robe is basically a digital camera with an MP3 player built in (or an MP3 player with a camera built in if you prefer it that way). It has a 3.7” touch-screen, which probably isn’t the best interface in the world. The camera is 1.3 megapixels, with no flash or zoom. The supposed draw here is that you can synchronize pictures to your music to create futuristic remixes. It should be PlaysForSure compatible, and the battery lasts for about 12 hours. You can grab the 20 GB m:robe 500 for $499.99 USD or less.

Oh gosh, for some reason, I absolutely must own this thing. LOL It might be best just to not think about it though.
SEriously though, I could have tons of fun with it. Just imagine! Pictures of you and all your friends synchronized to your music!! And a touch-screen!!! A *touch-screen*! Ahhhh, okay, I’m finishing this reply now, hahah

Compared to an iPod, this is GOING to be much better. Reason number 1-It’s not made by apple.
Reason number 2-it’s display is better and
viewing pictures is actually a pleasure
compared to the low resolution iPod Photo
screen.
Reason number 3-it takes pictures. Though
it’s only a 1.3 MP camera, it’s not supposed
to be of the highest quality.
Reason number 4-it looks better in every
way.
Reason number 5-when Olympus fixes it’s
flaws in the m:robe 500, it’ll be the mp3
player everyone wants.
Yes, it does have it’s setbacks as of right now. But I believe that when issues are resoved and there a new version released, this thing is going to be awesome.

I got one of these and im absolutly amazed with it!
the screen is huge and takes up the majority of the front panel. The canera is 1.2 MP however, not to rain on your parade. I think it will wipe out all Ipods other than the Ipod Video due to its lack of ability to play video…:-( maybe olympus will add it in a firmware upgrade though. And you cant use any media program but M:Trip (but you can use windows explorer or linux nautilus if your good) + the usb is proprietary(bad olympus) the gui is awesome, some people say the touch panel takes a few tries to get it to respond but theyre on crack or something it works like magic for me. I rate this product a 8/10!
