Gillette Fusion: Five Bladed Razor. Ouch.

The battle between Gillette and Schick is starting to look more and more like the one between Microsoft and Apple. Gillette is scheduled to one-up the Schick Quattro, which features four blades, with the Gillette Fusion. The new Gillette Fusion will be available during the first quarter of 2006 in both non-powered ($9.99) and powered ($11.99) versions. Meanwhile, Schick is preparing to launch a powered Quattro.

lol silly. Just like they do with toothbrushes adding all kinds of “upgrades”. But it must work because they spend so damn much on marketing.

Bullocks to all these new razors. If you want a quality shave, it’s either the trusty double-edged safety razor, or (for those who are willing to take a crack at the learning curve) the straight razor. Quality made and will last a lifetime.
And, of course, you should use a good brush and good shave cream, as well, which will also last for quite a while.

Straight razors forever. I haven’t used a disposable in years and i’m only 23. It’s not hard to learn, and most people will nick themselves LESS with the straight.
