Steelseries Siberia Headset for $15 at Sellout.Woot
Posted by Alex Lifschitz Categories: Accessories, Hot Deals, PC,
You might have seen me speaking highly of SteelSeries’ line of Siberia headsets before (I personally sport the V2,) but if you haven’t been able to afford a nice pair of headphones, you’re in luck; Sellout.Woot has the original Siberia model (not quite as swanky as the V2, but pretty awesome nonetheless) for the mind-bogglingly low price of $14.99 for today only. The normal price for these is around $90 at retail. It’s not every day you find a deal like this, so if you know what’s good for you, head on over to Sellout.Woot (though Deals.Woot) and get you some. You can hear the angels singing.

Project Natal launching on October says UK’s Jonathan Ross
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Microsoft, Rumors, Xbox 360,
Long-tenured UK TV host Jonathan Ross was able to give the upcoming Xbox 360 motion gaming add-on, Project Natal, a try. Aside from the hint of jealousy he left us all with, he also tweeted out an interesting tidbit of information on his Twitter account, which in a nutshell says that he feels that Natal has potential, and that Microsoft has until October to get it right. So the obvious question is, does that imply that Natal gets an October launch (which does fit in with the holiday 2010 launch period)? Or does it mean it has to all be done so they can start packing and shipping devices for launch in early November? I’m sure everything will be made clear in a couple of months at E3.
Hit the break for a video of Jonathan giving Project Natal a try.

Unannounced Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 faceplate (custom console?) spotted!
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Microsoft, Role Playing Games, Square Enix, Xbox 360,
Our friends over at Gamertag Radio just posted a video promoting their Community Vibes 5 event (which takes place this Saturday) with Major Nelson, and we couldn’t help but notice what appears to be a yet-to-be-announced Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 faceplate on Major’s desk! We haven’t seen or heard about this anywhere, so this may, in fact, be the first time it’s been seen in public. Even more interesting, though, is the fact that Microsoft has kind of forgotten about the whole faceplate-only thing, which leads us to believe that we may see a Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle. If you wanna peep the video, we’ve got it for you after the break.

Holiday Gift Guide for the Gamers
Posted by Alex Lifschitz Categories: Accessories, Hardware, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360,
“... Or how I blew your college fund on sparkly trinkets.”
Thanksgiving is now over, and so the spirit of crass materialism rides in on a chilly breeze. The holidays are almost here, meaning that you’re likely going to need to drop some hard earned ducats on the people who make it a point to hound you year-round. That being said, if you’re not a hopeless misanthrope like myself, you might already be thinking about what to buy for others. Or for yourself. I’m not going to make any judgment calls, you selfish bastard. I don’t have time for jolliness. I’m like Dorian Gray, all ash and suffering on the inside.
So here’s a list of some fun things your can buy for the gamer in your life this year. Some of it is older, some of it is more obscure, but nothing is obnoxiously expensive, per se. Have fun, you wacky kids.
Hit the jump for the list. If you have any suggestions of your own, please leave them in the comments. Oh, and if you want more, non-game-related gift ideas, check out our full Holiday Gift Guide!

GameStop rips you off on Wii MotionPlus
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Corporate News, Nintendo, Wii,
If you are in the market for the Wii MotionPlus, just make sure you stay away from GameStop. Why? Because they are charging you $5 more than any other retailer we’ve found that sells the device. Nintendo lists the Wii MotionPlus at a suggested retail price of $19.99. While it is just a suggestion, retails chains typically follow the suggested price. However, GameStop is charging $24.99 for the device. Save yourself $5, and buy the Wii MotionPlus at Amazon, cool?
