I would expect a tv that advanced to show atleast 1080i

1080i is about the same as 720p, but 720p is progressive scan so it is considered higher quality.

1080p is a relatively new technology, most products don’t support progressive scan that high. The PS3 is though, I think for a screen that small it may not be important.
