I am in the market for a new notebook computer and I wanted to hear all of your suggestions for possible computers.

I’ve been considering many and so far the alienware sentia is winning me over.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on notebooks for me?  Or does any one own an alienware computer and have any dislikes about it, or is it an all around good reliable computer?

I know thats asking a lot and thank you very much in advance.

i like ibm, but its pricey. i have a fujitsu, and i have no issues with it. its quick enough, small, and easy to use, since it has a crystalview screen.

ThinkPads all the way, man!!  :D

you can get them relatively cheap on ebay (i got a T40- PM 1.5GHz, 768mb RAM, 40gb HD, CDRW/DVDROM with a dock, case and external floppy (plus WinXP Pro and Office 2003 pro) for $930)

plus they are super tough, and have some of the world’s best customer support. get them quick before they start to be designed and manufactured by lenevo 😢

the official page is   , and then the “unnofical” forums for everything the do with thinkpads is   . the owner of that site, Bill Morrow, also sells new thinkpads on that site… rather cheaply, i might add.

😊

You should check Gear Live’s main page tommorow. There will be an article about Sharp’s new sub $1k notebook you might want to take a look at.

well, it’s not pricey compared to the fact that he’s looking at an Alienware as his top choice

I’ll vouch for Fujitsu as well.  I did a whole bunch of research, and the size and screen of Fujitsus (the P7010D) in particular led me towards that model.  You’ve gotta see CrystalView in person.  It’s fantastic!

Everyone says they’ve got great customer support as well.
