I propose that we change Free Stuff to ONLY ONLY ONLY be for announcing a website that is giving something away (or something else that is free that has nothing to do with these websites), and then allowing people to post their referrals links in the thread.  No discussions, no bitching.

I also propose that we create a “Free Stuff Discussion” board.  What I would like that to be is just 1 discussion thread for each site, but I know that won’t happen because people can’t follow the rules.  So, I say that basically all of the new threads that people have to make about EXISTING sites go there.

This would just be a cleaner way of doing things.  Also, I suggest that we make a rule that users can not put capitalization at all into the subject of new topics unless it is for JUST the first letter of a word.  Here is a picture from the Free Stuff forum right now:

I think this idea sucks.  If noobs start lame threads, delete them.  If we start 1 thread for all free stuff discussion it will be so useless and you wouldn’t be able to find anything…

1 forum for free site announcements.  You make a new thread inside this forum when a new site is announced.  Users are allowed to REPLY with their referral link.  That site is never allowed to be announced again, since it has already been announced.  No threads are allowed to be made unless they announce a new site.

1 forum for free site discussions.  Everything else goes here.

The intention of the free stuff forums was to post links to freebies online. The free site craze has spammed it into what it is today. I suggested a while ago that there should be an incentive site board (your free discussion board) and the free stuff board should be what it was intended for (hey look free mag subscriptions.)

The incentive board should have a sticky for each new site, mods should add a new site, and users should not be allowed to post new threads, to keep it clean.

if users arent allowed to post new sites that will cause chaos.

I guess this isn’t necessay anymore after all this free stuff advertiser diaster? i’m undecided :think:
