it sucks for everybody.  instead of healthy compitition to make EA actually improve madden, now they can just do what they’ve been doing and putting out the same game year after year with updated rosters and a couple tweaks.

I’m sure the NFL got a huge premium for the license.  It would’ve been close to what EA and Sega were paying together, if not more.
