Ever since the new board was impletemented, this site’s forum has been going down hill.
I don’t want to admit it, but this board is very close do dying.

i agree… i don’t like the new forums

yeah I used to post here alot. Not the only posts I make are about penises in the word association thread.

I think everyone left a piece of themselves back with the old forums. These don’t seem to be moving so much.

Traffic on these new forums is actually about 30% higher on a daily basis on average than on the old system - but it seems that most of them are lurking Maybe we need to do some sort of forum membership drive…possibly a giveaway centered on posting here.

Of course, you guys can feel free to invite those who you know to stop by and sign up

I agree the boards are VERY dead.  I dont even care or even want news about the “free sites”.  All I want to do is complete my last two sites and call it good

I think the front pages are more of the important part.  I say one thing that would help is condensing a lot of the boards.  We have like 20 and I think we should have more like 10.  Just a thought…

Too many of the “regulars” are not around any more :(

I think at least one problem is that the front page blog is not updated nearly enough.  Joystiq and similar blogs have 10 articles a day, while GearLive has about 3 articles a week.  I also think the old forums were better.

yea i looked at the member list… the member on these forums with the most posts has like 200 posts… gohan made like 200 a day (what was he at, 14000?)

yeah alot of members got lost in the switch, but hey if anyone’s posting here it must not be COMPLETELY dead.

Exactly… Did the editiors die or something, there is probably one new article every week now, so lame, I just go to engadget and joystiq now, new articles every hour.

Aside from holiday madness, I am unsure as to what you guys mean. One new article per week? Is that a joke?

I have actually been spending my recent time securing a ton of products to GIVE AWAY TO READERS for the Holiday Gift Guide. Wow.

the number of articles have decreased very much so, but just today there were 2 new ones, so they havent slowed down to 1 a week, but there are less.

i find it pretty amusing that the “this board is dead” post has so many replies.

its not like there are many different people in here, this thread only has 27 replies, thats nothing compared to the old board
