I thought Jim Carrey wasnt’ that great in the movie. His style of acting and comedy felt a little over the top for his character, who was supposed to be villanous and menacing.

I saw Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events over break, and thought it was pretty good. I haven’t read the books that this one was based on (its supposedly based on the first 3 books) but I still enjoyed the movie. Maybe I’ll have to read them now! Its like Harry Potter, but more real because the kids don’t do magic.

Anyone else catch this movie this weekend?

I have not seen this movie, however. I’m a bit hesitant to see it as so many people keep comparing it to Harry Potter, and I heart teh Potter :|

I agree the movie was pretty good 😊  I can’t stand the books though, I tried to read them, they’re just boring, and too alike.

i heard the books were pretty entertaining, and I like Jim Carey…might wait til this movie hits the dollar theaters.
