I understand that, I know some of them are purely info sites with the owner’s links on them and that’s fine.  Yet a lot of them do contain congas, whether that’s the main objective of the site or not. 

I’m not trying to be a hard ass and impede you getting a better page rank.  It’s just that outside congas aren’t supposed to be promoted.. so when I pm people about taking links out of their sigs, people reply and say “well then why can this person post there’s?”.. so i’m just trying to be fair.  If you can understand where I’m coming from..

In an attempt to boost traffic, and google page rank, I’m looking for other website owners that would like to exchange links so if google [or any other search engine for that matter] the spider will follow the link and index each of our sites. I currently have a page rank for 4/10.

the site is about nothing at this point—basically all of my feebies @  this point.  I’m redoing the layout and am working on pagerank prior to my go live date.

How do you find out your spider ranking?

Well, it depends on which search engines ranking you are looking for.

For google, just download the google toolbar, and visit your site—it will give you a pagerank from 0-10.

For Alexa, you can simply visit their site, and search for you site—then click on traffic information it will show your ranking amongst all other websites

These are the major 2 that are being used now adays, everything else is of minimal importance.

i hate to be annoying about this.. I totally think this is a great idea and understand how page rank is a big deal (as I also run a website)... but posting the links of other congas isn’t allowed here.  So I feel bad telling other people they can’t have it in their sigs or promote them without saying something here.

I’m going to leave this thread open as I do think this is a good idea for you guys.. but maybe if you could exchange the links by pm.  Like if you have interest in exchanging post about it here and then pm eachother..

But if you guys could refrain from posting the links on the forum (and they’re not supposed to be in sigs either).. that would be great.
