Hello everyone. This is one of my first posts outside of Free Stuff.. so bear with me.

At current time I have a Motorola v60i cell phone. It doesn’t have color, has crappy monophonic ringtones, and a ugly green backlight, besides other faults that leave it back in the 20th century.

So… I went to the Cingular store today and told them since I didn’t want to buy into a 2year contract, if I could just buy one off ebay, and they said yes.

So this is what im looking for:

1.) NOT a flip phone
2.) color, camera doesnt matter
3.) downloadable polyphonic ringtones
4.) relatively small, yet cool looking

I’m 17 if you judge anything by that. Thanks for you time in answering.

Well all of the unlocked cell phones on ebay are compatible. I was more looking for opinions on the experiences people have had with their phones, because, what companies say about their phones are not always the truth.

I would go for a Bluetooth enabled phone.  If you go on Cingular’s page, the best bet would be the Sony Ericsson T637.  A lot of companies are starting to include Bluetooth technology as a standard in their devices.  My friend has one of these and it’s awesome.  He can link up to any Bluetooth device and pretty much send data back and forth and control a lot of things just with his phone.
Plus you can get a bluetooth headset and you don’t have to have your phone directly in your hand to answer it or talk on it.
If you have a laptop, you can connect to the internet through your phone with Bluetooth technology.  The battery life is good on this phone too because Bluetooth technology doesn’t consumer a lot of battery power.
What do you guys think of Bluetooth technology with phones and other devices and do any of you have any recommendations for other products that use it?

If I may ask, why not a flip phone? They are Fliptacular.
