Kingston and Crucial are guaranteed to work. If not, they have a gurantee for life.

Samsung is supposed to be good, but I don’t trust it, either. I get Kingston or Crucial.

What are some good brand name companies for RAM?  I want to upgrade my G3 iMac from 320 MB to at least 512 MB…so I was thinking, what’s a good name brand?

Kingston?
Micron?
Crucial?
Samsung? (not sure about this one…)

Any other brand name companies out there that you people can suggest?

Kingston doesn’t make memory, they just relabel and remarket.
Crucial is Micron’s “friendly” brand.
Micron makes good memory, especially SDRAM.
Samsung makes good DDR.
Get good chips, from a company that knows how to assemble good sticks and you’re golden.

I get all my ram from work [free] it tends to be crucial, and I’ve never had any problems with it.

Sorry, I usually only see sticks of 1 gig or higher.  :D

They tend to disappear before they make it to local servers
