The date I’m referring to was the date of the article, July 14th 2004. That article points to speculation that the DS will be released in November, which is consistent with the quote from Nintendo’s Executive VP who contends that the DS will be released before the holidays.
The PSP is a nice machine and all. God knows I love the screen size. But much like a lot of Sony’s crap they try to throw too much in the mix. I honestly don’t want one. Just like I have not use for modern cell phones.
I don’t need all entertainment to be portable with me at all times. My attention span is far longer than that. I’d rather have something that is first, foremost, and ONLY a game machine. I even think Nintendo is going too far out on a limb with the DS. But nintendo focuses on great games.
Sure PS2 has a bazillion games. But really, how many have a long lasting appeal and awe factor of Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine and Zelda Windwaker…....and don’t even get me started on the new Zelda game coming out…............

All excellent GameCube games, but the DS only has about the power of the N64. It would be tough to pull it off, although Metroid looked decent on the DS so far. They were still substituting some 2d graphics for some elements though.
Having the PSP do multiple things will help push the system. Remember when PS2 first came out and the games were crap, but everyone needed a DVD player? :D

i tend to disagree there. The ps2 have a ton of games but it also has a ton of amazing games to go with it. MGS3, Killzone, GT, GTA, DMC, R&C, Jak and many more. Mind you a couple i named are on other systems but that was like 1 year after release on ps2.
[quote author=“gohan_bcc1”]haha sooo, we all know its gonna rock.
Well see I’m not so sure. A lot of people liked MGS1 better than 2. I can see why. I mean, Raiden is like….ugh! But I digress. It just looks like MGS3 is evolving into a different type of game: “Tamagotchi”-Style Food-Upkeep.
[quote author=“gohan_bcc1”]i know by far better then msg2. Although gt4 is going to be AMAZING JUST AMAZING. Like wow its so good now.
That is the one game I’m waiting for. I only have WipeoutFusion and SSX series for racers right now. :| I was going to pick up GT3 but why, when 4 is so close?
Wait, I read a post on here earlier that said that MSG3 wasn’t coming to PS2, just to PSP…was MIG who posted it I think…probably wrong on that, so don’t quote me, but I did read it on these forums…I think it was the PSP thread in the Video Games Section…
Graphics better, great. BUT CAN WE PLEASE GET A BETTER STORY LINE AND MORE FRIGGIN’ CONTENT! MSG1 had so much more content that it’s follow-up that I only beat it once...
