Cool! Come home from work, refresh my status page, and I’m in Progress 2 (like a bunch of others it seems). Hopefully this means it wont take too long. I can wait awhile though, as I would like to get a case for my iPod so it does not get all scratched up, and it will probably be next month before any 4g cases are released.

Woot! My order status is now Pending on the 4th gen 20gb!!
So what is this whole progress 1, 2, 3 etc deal about?

Oh wai
Pending We have just received your order. Most orders are in Pending for 5-7 business days. Once an order is passed the Pending stage, it cannot be cancelled or modified.
In Progress This means that our supplier is working on processing your order. Most 15 GB iPods are shipped out by them in 1-2 weeks; iPod minis in 4-6 weeks. In Progress orders cannot be cancelled or modified in any way. Please note that In Progress 2 and In Progress 3 are the same as In Progress.
Hold If your order is on Hold, it is because there is more than one account at your shipping adress.
Shipped Most orders take 1-3 weeks to be delivered after they have shipped. You will receive an email when your order is shipped. At this time, a tracking number should be available for your order on the Order Status page.
Ahhhhhhhh!!! I don’t know if I can handle the waiting between now and then!!!

I’m still on pending…. :(
What do you think the chances are that they check some of my completed referrals and they don’t pan out? I’m a very skeptical person.
hopefully since i made it this far that maybe they just haven’t gotten around to moving my order to progress 3.
I wonder if they do it as they come in, or if they do them all at once at a specific time of their business day???

I think that you should list the ipod you decided to order and if it’s a mini the color. The reason being we can track which ipods move faster. Because the 20gb and the silver mini are the most readily available ipods on the market the pink is seriously SUPER SUPER rare soooo it might take longer. JUST A THOUGHT.

Went with the 20GB myself. I plan to use it for a lot more than music, so the storage capacity was the foremost issue for me.

Went through all that just to turn around and sell it? How disappointing. Good luck to you, though I think the market value of these is going to drop with all the free ones FreeiPods has got to be sending out.

The thing is, I never really wanted the iPod. I’m waiting for Rio to release their next HDD player, which people say is going to kick@$$. So I’m figuring out this to be a near $300 discount on a different MP3 player.
Rio annoys me though. They don’t announce anything until the product is released out of surprise. Agh. And it also bothers me that some people have seen them also from going to special meetings or something.
I also have other expenses to pay for like a Hawaii trip I’m going to go on next year during Spring Break heh.
