What ever happened to all those users that swore they were going to stick around long after the contest for the HDX Dragon was over? Its been over a month now since the contest has officially ended and I think half of those that said they were going to stick around have completely vanished.

Well…I think maybe some of them may only have been here for the Dragon contest.  :(  Some maybe on Vacation on a deserted Island with out a computer or other electronic devices and when they get rescued they will have some story to post on how they spent their summer vacation.  Or maybe they are participating is some kind of experiment that involves living in the dark ages…like the PBS series Llving in the 1880’s where they take a modern day family and make them dress and live in a different time period and film them. They did one in England and one in the Wild West, maybe they are doing one on the dawn of time, and making the people live in caves, hunt their own food, make fire from rocks…..

Well, in my case, right after the iPhone contest ended I went to New Hampshire, Washington D.C, and Pennsylvania and I just got back today, so sorry bout that inactivity.

Yeah you haven’t really missed much and I was more or less referring to those that have completely vanished since the day after the contest that said they were staying.

I am still here. I dont always sign in sometimes I just read the articles on the front page and thats it. Been busy here lately.

I would push that half estimate higher. They may have had the best intention of sticking around, but that intention was fleeting and only lasted as long as they could feed at the trough of a free handout.
A peek at the login logs might shed more light on who is ‘here’ lurking about. Myself, I have not found the need to post/comment very often.

Having no internet at home slows down my post count. It sucks, but it’s the way it has to be for now.

I think I would go insane if I didn’t have the net at home. lol

Yeah, it sucks, but I get along alright. I get the super slow mobile net on my nokia. If I get desperate for a fix I will use it.
