I ended up seeing it in the theater, reluctantly. It was surprisingly one of the best animated films I’ve seen; it wasn’t overly flashy, never fell into Disney cliches, and it slowed down enough to develop a good character base and build suspense. Could you expect any less from a film produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, among others? The DVD will be released next week, so look for a possible review of the film and special features on FilmCrunch in the near future.
