I would have to say Classic Rock is my favorite entire genre, there is just so much to choose from and so much of it is really good. I am not totally into the indie scene and will never claim to be.
I like older punk rock, alternative, trip-hop, and some electronica. I don’t know, it’s so hard to put bands into categories. Some of my favourite bands are Le Tigre, Bikini Kill, The Distillers, Radiohead, The Dandy Warhols, Metric, The Shins, The Pixies, etc…

Hi guys,Classic Rock is my favorite entire genre music.The core albums, artists, and songs most often represented in classic rock radio represent a subset of the albums and artists that were actually popular between the mid sixties into the early eighties. American ‘70s rock bands such as Aerosmith, The Eagles, Kansas, Boston, Bruce Springsteen & the E. Street Band, ZZ Top, and Journey often appear on classic rock stations.Some classic rock playlists also include some of the hard-rock and heavy metal bands.
My fav? hmm. i like so many, but I guess my top picks would be R&B;, Soft Rock, Techno, House, Smooth Jazz, some rap, alternative, reggae, and contemporary christian. I consider myself a music collector, and an amateur dj. (i like mixing and burning cds) i have also created my own songs with a out-dated program, and would really like to get my hands on something a little more advanced.

Bands that i usually listen to are Coldplay, Metallica, Counting Crows, and stuff like that ... also, of course, the Beatles! they rule!
also, to anyone who likes The Beatles, listen to the soundtrack of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE ... they’re all Beatles songs, but they’ve been performed by the cast, and the performances aren’t really bad!
I actually listen to everything, contemporary, r&b;, pop, but it totally depends on what is catchy, “in” and if I like it. There are some weird songs that I have liked, haha. I can’t really pick a favorite genre, but if I really had to, it would probably be alternative/acoustic. Absolutely lovely and soothing genre.
I forgot a couple genres : electronica, indie rock, celtic, and classic rock. i listen to a little bit of everything. the only ones i don’t care for are hard rock, heavy metal, punk rock, and dirty rap. also, i don’t really care for music with lyrics that i can’t understand because the artist is close to screaming them. but thats just me.

but to tell the truth fav genre always change because the music i listen always change depending on my mood
My favorite genre of music is melodious, because it touches my heart when ever i hear melodious songs , believe me i will start imagining something or the other.
With so much good music to be heard out there I find it impossible to play favorites. Anything I listen to really has to do with the mood I’m in. Music for me will always suit my mood. I love it all though. The only music I’m not a huge fan of is New Age Country. It’s not really country anymore. It’s just trying to be rock a little too hard for me. Anyway, YAY! for music. :D
