I would’ve come to number one position though if i wouldn’t have stopped posting because i had more than 1800 points just from the posting & that too was 3-4 days b4.I’m not saying anything against anybody.I was just saying to myself.And how i can show sportsmanship when i was about to win a $5000 worth of machine but couldn’t get it ? Sorry, i’m a very straightforward person & i say what i feel.So, sorry & congrats buckeye (i’ve congratulated him earlier also if you’ve not seen) but i hate myself for working so hard.

How do you get 1800 points from just posting if you never pasted the 600 post mark? Just out of curiosity.

He didn’t. De didn’t get that the points that are displayed on the website are your GENERAL Gear Live Points, not the points for the HP contest.

I had 700+ posts earler & had 1850 points from the posting.Yeah i’m saying about the points which i could see on the top of the homepage of Gearlive.Buckeye i last saw had about 1600+ points.

How do you see such information. Or do you mean you saw a screenshot of his screen that said 1600 points or something. Im confused lol.

so if i did the bonus show reviews would i have won?
i didnt think buckeye had more points than i did, but oh well

There was a bug in the system gohan,where we all could see each other’s points.Someone leaked that out & when people came to know i’m gonna win, they started saying that i’m spamming & creating problems in my every threads.So, i had to stop posting 3-4 days ago just because they didn’t want me to win.If i would’ve continued posting,i’m sure i would’ve had the highest points at the end of the contest.Those same people were behaving nicely with me when they didn’t know that i was winning.

Yeah it’s fixed now.I wish that guy didn’t leak about it to make people ferocious upon each other’s points.

Congratulations to BuckeyeFanatic25 (Ryan), you deserved it!  As I said in my post last night, if BuckeyeFanatic25 didn’t receive an e-mail, it means Andru didn’t announce the winner.  He truely did an outstanding job on the forums and the blog.  I’ve talked to Ryan before and I could tell he was nervous about winning.  I asked him last night if he won before the winner was announced and he said “Hotmail wasn’t working” for him.  So I guess it’s because he couldn’t tell!  LOL!  No wonder he was so secretive.  Anyways, congrats Ryan!  

Andru, if you don’t mind, I’d like to see what place I ended up getting in this contest.  It would be interesting to know how someone with as little points as me did.

@sushrukh:  Andru chose the winner fair and square.  BuckeyeFanatic25 had a lot of great quality posts.  Sure, he lost a lot of posts, and I and other members did too.  This is not only because of the old backup that was restored but also because some other spam topics were deleted, but the posts that BuckeyeFanatic25 made were quality topics.  As Andru stated in his topic, Buckeye still made more points than you even if you weren’t disqualified!  He made a lot of bonus points and posts/comments that contributed to the community.  One line posts won’t ever help out!

Before you launch the next contest Andru, the community and I feel that we need moderators to moderate the contest.  I expect like in this contest we will start receiving a lot of spam in the next contest too.  It is really important to have moderators there and not discourage other members to leave the forums because of the increasing amount of spam topics.  I would also like an official “forum rules” topic which defines what constitutes as spam and what rules people are to follow in the forum, because it seems like many people were surprised that what they were doing was marked as spam.
