Well it surely will be worth the wait in my opinion; now the question is “Will game X that interests you be worth $600?”  Now, this is making more reluctant to buy it :roll:

Worth the wait, maybe. Worth the money? I don’t know. I am really hesitant to throw down that much money on a gaming system. Especially considering that I have several different consoles that I play. If it was going to be my one and only, I’d be sold on it. Plus is it going to be obsolete in five years? And how much are the games going to cost??? I use Gamefly for most of my games now, and it sure saves me a lot of money, but…I don’t know. It’s really going to have to knock my socks off for me to buy one.

I get the feeling it won’t be THAT impressive. The Xbox wasn’t that great, and I get the feeling the PS3 won’t be that great either. I don’t think these systems will be that impressive until maybe 6 or 7 more years, or until virtual reality.

I wouldn’t mind getting a PS3, but I would never pay the high amount it’s going to be when it first comes out. I’ll probably wait a while.

Yeha the xbox360 was unimpressive because it wasnt *really* a next-gen console, its too like the others. The ps3 wont be worth the starting price and i wont be buying it but i will prpbably get it around a month after mgs4 comes out.

i will probably end up waiting until the price comes down on it and then get one.  that is what i did with the ps2.  mind you the game prices will have to be reasonable too.  no point having the console if i can’t afford the games

What’s the difference between a PS2 and PS3 anyways? Frankly I think I will wait until all the buzz dies down and get it when they’ve slashed the price in half. That’s what I did with the PS2 and got it fairly cheaply. Plus PS2 is quite fun and if I can still play all the same games then I’m happy with it for now.
