When or how did you guys find out about the 31 Days of The Dragon Giveaway? I found out by stumbling across it on Absolute Vista a few days before it all started. It is amazing how fast 31 days has gone by and all the announced winners are probably excited and awaiting his or her Dragon. I have entered almost all of the websites and the Dragon is truly a stunning machine and this prize package is…it leaves me speechless. I really could not believe that we had 31 chances to win this prize package and I was shocked. I have met so many people on all the sites and have discovered sites that are so informative and full of neat information.

Yes it is a really stunning prize package, would love to have it. I found it at geekstogo where I am training and helping people to disinfect their computers. I have entered in just about all of the competitions to, to bad they just wouldnt give a dragon to everyone who participated…lol. I know they wont do that but it sounded good to me!

I am a regular reader of istartedsomething.com by Long and when I saw they were doing the 31 Days of the Dragon Giveaway, I decided to visit all of the other sites that were involved in the competition.  Very glad I did because I have found some great communities (especially this one) that I would not have found otherwise!

i actually found about it when i was on youtube. i was checking out some unboxing videos and cam across the dragon being unboxed that described the contest. at first i was sceptical but some of the sites i visited were on there and i realized that it was real.

I saw a Youtube vid and and I went on hp.com they have it on there site also

Have you guys entered in as many of the contests as you can? What, in your opinion, has been the coolest or best contest idea for all the 31 days? I must mention that I do agree with some people and that I like how Gear Live does not have random drawing, but it is tiring posting all the time on here. :lol: I rarely win when it is random drawings.

I found out about it through Neowin.  They were holding a contest on it and they also posted a link to all the other 31DaysofTheDragon website on their forums.  I think this contest is better than most of the other contests because it’s not based on randomness.  This is an actual “CONTEST”  not a “drawing” , which most websites made it like a random drawing!

I heard about it, On Chris’ live feed.  He was talking about it, and I asked him for more info (live chat) and he gave me the link of all the sites participating and it was great.  Here I am trying to win it! 😛

geez i cant believe he would respond, last time i was in there it was chaos, a few hundred people talking at the same time

How many contests have you all joined? I only missed a few where I couldn’t qualify due to not being a member, an expert modder, or having Vista.

Regular at istartedsomething,too late honestly.I think i saw it earlier also but i usually dont beleive such free stuff being offered,so i possibly didn’t dig deep enough,damn i regret it now.

i know how ya feel man, when i saw the video for it on youtube…. i was so incredibly close to passing over it thinking it was fake but i thought “eh to hell with it” and watched the video anyway

I actually went on Chris Pirillo’s YouTube Channel, and since he is a partner of YouTube, his video played automatically. It was about the HP Dragon giveaway, hence I know about it! Pretty crazy, eh?! :lol:

how early on did you find it? early enough to participate in the early ones or like half these people. find out when there were only a few left? the reason i ask is im curious to know how many people tried for many of them and lost, like i did

this is, i think, about my 17 one- or something like that so u can imagine how annoyed i am @__@
besides like you said, some of them required some serious time that went to waste, like thegadgeteer and windowsconnected

I think I have joined more than half of them? I haven’t counted but some were quite interesting and I love how each site had it’s own unique and different contest idea. I hope all the sites gets an increase in readers and visitors and that the 31 Days of the Dragon will be back soon. 😊

I actually get to know about it on the 17th of May.So, i couldn’t participated in the earlier contests before 17th.It was posted in my home site Bjorn3d.com.

oh wow the 17th half of them were already over, thats a shame
some of the contests really couldve used you in them 😉
some contests were just rediculous though, mostly the first few because i guess
they didnt know what exactly HP had in mind as far as what the contest should be about
the winner of one of the sites was a crazy story that sounded like star trek, and it was about
them finding the dragon in the future or something like that
so on those i guess you didnt miss out on that, most people put in normal entries =P

I read that the BleepingComputer winner had only 1 or no posts over there,lol the regualars must be fuming.

within an hour i doubt the webmaster got anything under 100 flame emails
