You sir are wrong. The companies have to adapt to the people, not the other way around. If the companies don’t give their consumers what they want, they’ll soon notice that the consumers are going to abandon the company.
You really think Apple is going to go .wma, .wmv, .avi to please M$ users? Get Real (not meaning Real Player)
Apple made an iPhone and they made it on their terms and providing, so far, what they consider necessary - 5,000,000 iPhones later they must have done something right and the loss a few sales to some won’t hurt their share price 1cent.

Indeed. Most of their consumers are former M$ users. Though, AVI is now a “Pirate standard”. xvid and DivX wise. So you got me there.
Though, converting from AVI to MOV or m4v isn’t that hard, and really doesn’t take more than 5-10 minutes for a 30 minute show. Depending on your computer.
Back to topic. I really hope that he answears these questions.
The more answers / HiLights the better - I’m in Australia - have unlocked 10 phones so far and have 3x 1.1.2 OOB awaiting some solution ( I don’t charge people - they buy them and give them to me to Jailbreak / Activate / Unlock) - Personally I have a week #32 phone running 1.1.2 plus a few apps
Can you still hack the iPhone (version 1.1.3) so you can use any sim card you want. I know there are many methods, but are they all now obsolete!
Thanks
Right now 1.1.3 iPhones would be in the situation that we find with 1.1.2 iPhones—No software unlock.
Not sure what the status of Jailbreaking and activation would be, but my guess is all that software may have to be altered by the ‘hacking crew’ to achieve some results.
It’s a definite wait and see Plus we need a lot more iPhones available with 1.1.3 before any of us mere users will find out.
A good number of people have used the replacing lockdownd trick to allow them to use a ootb 1.1.2 iphone on at&t;and O2 in the UK. The question is does the update break this kind of hack?
i have 1.1.1. when i play a song on the ipod and start surfing using safari the music stops. i believe this is a bug. i tried this on a 1.1.2 iphone in the apple store and also experience the same behavior. can you please check if this is fixed in 1.1.3? thanks.
Why don’t you answer the previous question of : WHAT IS THE BASEBAND (MODEM FIRMWARE) ??
It’s the last option in the ABOUT SCREEN. That’s what everyone WANTS to KNOW. That has already been asked many times (by TatesMan, jeanmaikel and others)
Belive us, we really don’t care for your serial or any other info that could identify your beta-test source that leaked the firmware to you… All we want to know is the baseband version
Hi, if you don’t want to give out the baseband version atleast tell us if there is a new baseband or not. Don’t need to post any pics or nothing. Just tell us if there is a new baseband.
Thank you.
I am also a member over on the hacint0sh forums and I must offer firstly my thanks, and also support to you guys after all the absolute CR*P being served out against you.
You have done many, many iPhone users / hackers a great service, and to be treated the way you have been is very, very sad.
Keep up the good work and post whenever your busy work (and more importantly family committments) allow.
Please please please tell me/us if you have any information as to whether this firmware will be released at the same time for the iPod Touch or not. You guys are awesome, great work
