Could you please check whether Apple adjusted the Google Mail Preset to IMAP? (by default, an Gmail account has been configured by POP in 1.1.2)
This isn’t necessarilly true. It depends on what your Gmail settings are when you set up the iPhone. If your settings are enabled for IMAP, the iPhone will use IMAP settings. I learned this yesterday as I had my phone replaced through the Genius Bar and before restoring at home, I set up my gmail for the time being. It automatically came through as IMAP.
Hey there! Thanks for the preview, and the quick responses.
I am wondering if the triangulation feature is purely firmware, or if there has been an update from the carrier side? Will this work with carriers other than AT&T;? If you can’t answer because you don’t know about triangulation and don’t have a test phone for another carrier, then that’s fine.

The one feature I miss is a reminder beep or something to let you know you missed a call/email/sms message without having to go an open the phone to see! Can you see if that made it in there please?
The current firmware only allows you to attach an image to an email from the photo application. Any chance this has been updated so that you can attach an image starting from the email application?

Are you sure? What about the folders like “Sent” and “Trash”? Does the iPhone use the IMAP folders or still the local folders on the iPhone. The former would make sense…
hey, an important feature that the iPhone and touch lacked compared to other mp3 players and regular iPods was the ability to play music by hooking it up to an xbox or iPod speaker system through USB. Right now we can’t play our music on devices that are able to read music on an iPod through USB.
I think this has something todo with disk-mode. Were the rumors true about 1.1.3 adding disk-mode?
Or are u able to play music through the xbox 360 now through USB?
Ringtones- Are you still able to convert a clip of a Mp3 to an AAC file and change the file extension to M4r and sync it to the iPhone as a ringtone as you could in 1.1.2?
how’s the battery life with 1.1.3? my iphone battery, like many others, suffered after the 1.1.1 update. does 1.1.3 efficiently use the battery or is it even more of a power hog?
I am a business user who moved from a Blackberry to an IPhone but I REALLY miss proper task management and some sort of password storage facility on the phone - are either of these apps added with the firmware upgrade?
i cannot believe that they havent let out 1.1.3 yet… i so hope that they put this out tomorrrow, and then issue another update whenever the sdk comes out. i dont care if its incomplete, as long as its stable put it out!!
