YouTube Puts Cap On Video Duration

I think that the MPAA is merely trying to make it more difficult for people to “pirate”, they can’t really prevent piracy at all.  Personally if I want something bad enough the MPAA is not going to stop me from obtaining it.  Its a shame that the MPAA has enough power that good sites are pressured into changing the way they are.  Something should be done about the MPAA and the RIAA, but both entities are well funded with connections in the right places, so who is going to be able to stop them?

I bet there’s ulterior motives to this aswell though - it’ll decrease the bandwidth use from people downloading large film clips.  I’d bet people will be less inclined to upload lots of 10 minute clips - especially when there’s google video.
