To be honest, most people had forgotten all about Paula Abdul before “American Idol” came to FOX. The show didn’t just revive Paula’s career and place her in the limelight again, it actually made FOX look like a viable network, capable of big ratings. And that’s not all - now that Paula popularity has reached new highs (people love to listen to her and try to decipher what she’s saying, the Riddle of the Abdul), she’s snagged her own series on Bravo, the CBS-owned cable network. In “Hey Paula,” Abdul will do what she does best - run around just being herself, making little sense, and laughing…a lot. Of the half-dozen new shows Bravo is planning (most of them depicting lavish, over-the-top lifestyles), “Hey Paula” seems the most promising. If that doesn’t give you a hint of what can be expected from the new Bravo line-up, nothing will.
