SOAD is one of my all-time favorite bands, and so I thought they deserve their own thread here at Gearlive.

Has anyone picked up their new album ‘Mesmerize’? I did and I can’t stop listening to it. It’s one of those albums where you can listen to the entire thing without skipping songs. It’s not better than the monster that was ‘Toxicity’ but it’s still very, very good. My only complaint will be that it’s too short, but overall it’s an excellent album from an excellent band, and I suggest you pick it up if you’re into this music.

I didn’t like most songs in this album, but the songs that I do like from this album are B.Y.O.B., Sad Statue, and Old School Hollywood.

“Mezmerize” owns

i downloaded it about a month before it was released, but bought it when it came out.  amazing album.  my favorite songs are byob, violent pornography, and the hollywood ones.  but they are all great songs.

i saw them at the 9:30 club in DC during the guerilla tour. despite daron’s cold, they were amazing. im pretty sure i made eye contact with shavo, and possibly serj. arent i cool?

I think this is their best album BY FAR

system of a down is an amazing band! i love the new single byob. i have yet to hear the whole new album but i read this review and i think im gonna go pick up the cd later today 😊 check it out
