referralswapper might also be in a lot of hot water and be forced to shut down (or sued) for trade practice infringement.

just fyi.

I have had some good experiences with QT so its not ALL bad. There are however ALOT of people on there with horrible karma. If it were maintained better it could come back.

its hard to tell who is legit and who isn’t on there anymore.  I got 2 free items because of trades from there though, so I guess I got my moneys worth out of it.  I ocassionally get an email from someone wanting to do a trade through it.  I’ve emailed lots of people about trades, but never get any responses from them.  Guess no one wants to use it anymore.

thats sounds like the last flailing attempts at an inferior product trying to stay afloat when a better product comes out.

I’ve got to second zainali.  What is “trade practice infringement”?  I haven’t ever heard of that.  I’ve heard of trade secret misappropriation.  I’ve heard of patent infringement.  I’ve even heard of trademark and trade dress infringement.  But, I don’t have any idea about trade practice infringement.

Unless someone has a business method patent that they are enforcing, I doubt a site could be shut down by “trade practice infringement.”  Is that some sort of weird theory of law in the state you live in?  If so, what state?

“trade practice infringement” doesn’t make sense.  Unfair trade practice or infringement of trademarks are real.  Maybe they are combined.  So in 3 years when the lawsuit goes to court I’ll find another trading service…

first of all, sorry to hemmingway for whatever family problem is happening. If it is that serious then anyone should be able to understand that part and have some empathy.

But it is also strange how the ads are updated pretty regularly if there isn’t any time :? . Sure adding in features or upgrading current features and request could take time but still. I am personally still pretty upset that the promised cash/paypal offer features were never implemented even though they were said to be coming…that is the main reason I even signed up. And how many months later has it still not been added? It seems every month or two a QT complaint thread comes up with a lot of unhappy users but it never seemed like any of the request/complaints were taken serious. Answers to good questions weren’t even taken serious and just ignored.

I really wanted QT to be great, and it was useful for a bit…but without updates and inactive users it has become somewhat useless. Just about 2 weeks ago I sent out 119 trade request through QT. I got back 4 replies. Two from people saying “no thanks” and the other two somewhat turned out into trades…so far, or at least interest. The rest must either be inactive or just didn’t bother to reply.

As for referrals swapper, I have had really good luck with it and like it a lot. Not only did it have a nice layout and worked well from the start, the admin is actually very eager to implement good suggestions and ideas. There is already a paypal/cash feature in the system which is something I wanted for a long time on QT but never seemed to matter enough to have it iplemented.

Referral Swapper also have quite a few more members that you think Hemmingway. As of right now it already has 612 (says right on the homepage) which is half as many as QT…ALREADY! And it has only been around a month or so. Won’t be long until it has 1,200 or more users. Sure it’s not perfect but with users request being added in all the time it won’t be long before it is perfect. I am very happy with it so far and even more impressed at the admin’s involvement.

I support Gear Live so I also support QT in a way, but I have to be honest and say that you dropped the ball a long while back and didn’t seem to care to fix it. Just adding in a few of the requested features would have given it a refreshing change. Unforntunately, it is very hard to imagine that many of those 1,200 users are still active. QT was the first, but it is not the best anymore though it still has potential.

I agree.  I asked for email notification on RS when someone leaves a comment and the admin thought it was a good idea and started working on it that day.  Thats great turn around…

I liked QT when it came out and it helped me get some refs, but it was also a magnet for scammers. And while everyone of these forums and trading sites will be like bees to honey for those who are dishonest, the lack of policing will certainly hurt any chances for a site.

That and a lack of inovation, especially setting up a forum for users like me who wanted to offer money to those who will do sites for money.

Meh, I got value for the amount I paid, but I haven’t hunted for refs in easily 2 months and have gotten much more swaps thru Ref Swapper. Sorry man, the better mouse trap always wins.

i think the thing that annoys me the most about QT is that i have tried several times to contact the admin regaurding several issues and not ONCE have i gotten a response.

Yesterday i sent a very urgent e-mail about a scammer and i dont think i will get a response and because of this my account is about to be ruined i beleive so I will not use QT again.

http://www.ReferralSwapper.com

It is so much better.  Scammers get dealt with, good forums, admins are always around, sites get added right away…  Its like 100 times better than QT…
