I haven’t used Hotmail in years - even in the early days it was slow and down half the time. Gmail is acceptable - okay, I know it has some awesome features, like threaded mail, but I don’t particularly care for it. I use Yahoo to catch spam mostly, and as my contact address for my own domain mail hosting. Of them all, I like Yahoo the best.

My favorite is Gmail some newer features are fun to discover and make interneting more fun and usefull. I like not having to erase any e-mails because the space is so huge, and how do you find it? You can search for keywords in all the emails googlestyle!

Gmail wasn’t bad, from what I saw but I still use Yahoo and Hotmail.  In all honesty, I like yahoo better…  they have a few rough spots and can be slow to post some things, but I still like them.

I use hotmail the most - I rarely have problems with it. I don’t really like yahoo. I have a gmail account, but I never use it. I’ve just been using hotmail for so long that I haven’t bothered to switch over.

Hotmail is attempting to catch up with Gmail with their new Hotmail Live Beta - it totally sucks though.

Well, I used to think that hotmail was the best freemail out there, but now I’ve changed my mind.  Hotmail have some really bad adminsitrative policies.  But you don’t have to take my word for it and hope you don’t find out what I’m talking about.  Try gmail though…

Still like gmail and inbox. I tried yahoo - maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance, but I like the space considerations of gmail.

Windows Live Mail all the way. I’m not sure why JulieRuin doesn’t like it, but I think it’s awesome. It’s basically a slimmed down version of an online Outlook Express. You can right click on folders and messages for more options, view mail in one pane while having the list of messages in another pane, and the search is much improved - it now searches every bit of all your emails like Gmail does and it’s just as fast.

I use yahoo and gmail but overall seem to use yahoo more often. I honestly like webmail better than apps like outlook and such now.

There’s now a delete button. I delete all my forum mail, my myspace mail, etc etc, but anything personal or something that might be important down the line…archived…then it’s easy to find it!

Gmail, I love it and can’t live without it.  Althought the Hotmail Live they are beta testing right now is pretty nice!  It is almost identical to outlook express…not bad for a freebie.

I use hotmail and yahoo. I don’t have any problems with them but it does seem like I get more junk mail on yahoo and it’s mostly all these offers from gazillions of companies. My house would be filled with so much gadgetry if I actually responded to them.

Hotmail does seem to have worse spam than other freemails.  It is almost impossible to stop it in Hotmail once it starts.

Gmail has given me problems. I do like it, but it seems to experience a lot of downtime and bugs. That and I found I can’t just block someone’s email address if I am having a problem. I have to create a filter to send their emails to my trash folder. That’s a huge pain.

BTW< is it true that hotmail won’t be free any longer after a certain time? I’ve always used it and it’s been perfectly reliable to me and has SO much space. It’ll be sad to lose it if what I heard is true.

I don’t think so, they already offer a paid and a free version.  It’s not like they aren’t already rolling in it.  I don’t see why they would charge for it, it would just be one less reason to use their services.  I know I don’t use them for search or news, or anything but email.  I use Google and Yahoo for everything I need on the net.  If it weren’t for email, I would never go to msn.

earlier I said gmail all the way, but now I want to complain that when you wish to forward something you cant easily open your contacts and drop on another e-mail from there you have to open another window or tab and copy the e-mail addresses, or know them off the top of your head.

30gigs.com still has open registrations for free.  I use Gmail, Spamcop, Yahoo, 30gigs, and Hushmail.

30gigs completely crunked out on me! 😠 I was highly disappointed with them. I cannot even log into my account anymore! It just takes forever to load, and then it ends up blank… each time I try!
