Can anyone recommend a pair of good 2.0 speakers?

Need to take them in my luggage for a trip.  I’ll connect my mp3 player to it.  Does Bose really make the best sound per size?

Got these.  Bose Media Mate 2.0 Speakers.  $99, but they sound great even without a sub.

I’m currently using Aiwa SC-DP300 Speaker. This speaker requires no battery, and I don’t demand too much.  Anyway, it is slim and lightweight. I love this speaker for travel.

Has to fit in my suitcase.  Can you imagine shoving a subwoofer in there?  Guess it’ll be just the music and my draws.  :|

The Bose’s require an AC source, but dang if it doesn’t sound as good as my 5.1 setup.

Are those bose speakers really worth $99 or are you just paying for the name?

They’re a little more than another pair I saw, but the difference is night and day in terms of bass response.  The other ones were tinny.  I still use them and they’re great.
