Just thought anyone interested would like it confirmed when this thing is shipping. Apparently preorders will ship 10/6.  I personally am going to wait to see how it performs before I consider getting one. I’m still torn between iRiver and Cowon iAudio M3.

The one thing I don’t understand is why anyone would care if you can view pictures on it when a camera isn’t equipped? I think the controls are better than the 120/140 and hopefully they’ll decide to upgrade their firmware like they constantly promised but never delivered with the 120/140.

I wonder how good that screen will really be for viewing pics.  Even the Archos AV400 viewer screen wasn’t nice enough for me.

The screen may be too small for viewing pictures, but the screen should help for the navigation.

Because videos move, they help to mask the jaggies caused by a small low res screen.

It looks nice, and is a bit smaller, but thicker than an iPod.

If the UI was more intuitive I would be all over this like a $2 dollar hooker, but alas the UI still follows the crappy negligence of the previous iRiver players.
