Anyone watch this movie yet?  Its about a young teenager being peer pressure where she has no more control of herself.  You should watch it great movie.  Makes you think hard about middle school and high school.  By watching this movie, Im not kinda afraid of hollering at every hot girls around the corner lol since they can do some crazy #### to you.

I’ve seen Thirteen. It was so incredibly dramatic, and the mother for that movie was nominated for an Oscar for her role in that film. She did a pretty good job with that role too. =) I forgot whom she lost to though. If she had won that Oscar though, it would have been well-deserved

I think he was talking about this movie, Mr. Snakeyes, which was made in 2003, so it is fairly recent:

You may be thinking of the following movie, which is Canadian, so Mr. Gohan should see it =) It was made in 1997:

For you, Mr. Gohan, I’d just rent it. It’s way, way, way too dramatic for a 15 year old. Not that I’m saying you’re into solely teeny-bopper things =P

you want a movie that will scare your child senseless in to staying drug free: requiem for a dream.

One of the best sound scores, ever. If you don’t appreciate “Lux Aeternal”, then you haven’t experience any kind of real pain or struggle against suffering. One of the best, albeit terribly sad, movies ever created.

I really didn’t like Thirteen that much.. I saw it a few months ago during Oscar season because me and my mom like to see a lot of the nominated movies.

It seemed like to me that it was almost as if a 50 year old guy wrote it trying to make a believable story in the point of view of a 13 year old girl.. which is really funny that I got that feeling from it.. seeing as it was written by Nikki Reed who’s probably in her 20’s now and the director.  It’s supposed to be semi-autobiographical of Reeds teen years.  I don’t know.. It just seemed a bit like over dramatic in a fake way.

It was alright.. Holly Hunter was definately good (the mom).. but just wasn’t really a favorite.

If you want to scare you kids.. have them watch The Basketball Diaries.. great movie and to me that was even scarier than Requiem for a Dream (drug wise i guess).  I saw that movie in middle school and was afraid to mop the floor because I didn’t want to inhale the fumes haha.

lol the bad thing about 13 is the actors are too old.  I never saw those kinds of girls in my middle school days
