[quote author=“cmstar”]I work on pc’s running XP and 2000 all day long. It is a JOY to come home to my room filled with Macs.
I HATE Windows, and am not too happy with the Intel platform.
As for games, that’s what game consoles are for.
The problem for me is that I’m slowing ditching consoles because the games just aren’t as good as pc games in terms of real time and turn-based games that I play. Also, shooters are almost always better for a pc. I would really like a mac for music production though. Mac’s definitely have the advantage when working with media. If they could get the game licenses I’d be a Mac user right now.

Get a mac and keep the pc for games. That’s what I do. :D

Yep for the most part. iBooks are just their budget notebooks.

Stuff from Apple that starts with an i is for the regular consumer. Stuff without an i is for professionals. The eMac was really just for schools, so it doesn’t really fit in.

LOL! Now ain’t that the truth? 👏
I’ve never had any problems with my 1.25 GHz G4 iMac flat panel or my 500 MHz G3 blue iMac compared to my farkin pc. Windows keeps restarting, so right now I’m logged in remotely from my iMac G4 trying to pull of as many files I can over the network so I can back them up. Argh. Probably something in the registry got fooked or something as always.
Anyway…back on top…/cough
btw, OSX > Windows XP

Ya I just finished reformating my PC. My PC needs to be refomated 4 times a year to run well. My G4 Dual 500 has been running perfectly for years, and still beats my 2.4ghz Pentium 4 PC in many tasks. 😊

Also thers is so much more software that is compatible with Windows than with Mac. That is a big issue.

i have 2 windows at home (one dual-boots SuSe 9.1), but all i use at school are Mac
i like the interface of OSX, but i just have used and tweaked PC’s for too long.
The one things that Macs need is a windows button 😛
i think the OS i like best is SuSe, but it just isn’t compatable like windows is 😢 😢
.:Edit:.
oh, i forgot, i also have an old DOS machine still in regular use (those old games are really addicting :D )
