I was wondering…

I used to be stuck on 56k Dial-up when I first moved to Tuscon ‘casue cable/dsl wasn’t offered in the area, and the only thing that was offered was too difficult to get (microwave technology, dish type thing you mount on your house. my neighborhood that i moved into (la paloma) had really strict regulations, and it was just a big hassle so we gave up :(). So, I had the free 1 year of AOL from Gateway (just bought this computer when I moved here…sept/oct. of 2001… the trying times :(). I made a few friends on it, but forgot to add them to my new setup when I moved again (my current location) ‘cause I was all excited that I had cable :D

Now, I want to sign-up for this AOL offer in hopes that I can reclaim that buddylist I had…will I be able to? Will the contacts still be there?

Anybody know? I know reactivating an account is an option, but I’m not sure if the buddylist will still be there…?

Its a possibility, but don’t hedge your bets. I’d give it a shot though, because its free.

Try signing on that old screen name with AIM. You should be able to see if your buddylist is still there.

many many years ago, I used to use aol…when i cancelled, i remembered them telling me that my data will be saved for 6 months, just in case i wanted to come back. i’m not sure if they offer this anymore, but since you cancelled long ago, i guess its moot.
