One of the best action movies I’ve seen in a while.  The action, story, and characters were all great.  Bruce Willis is the best there ever was!

You mean “IS”. I saw it last night and if I had to see it again I would. Makes it feel like he’s the last cowboy in a modern world.

Hawkes go see it NOW. No questions. you will love the movie. I did not see any of the previous die-hards and I will be looking forward to seeing the younger john mcClain.

I would put them in this order of goodness.

Die Hard
Live Free or Die Hard
Die Hard with a Vengeance
Die Hard 2

I am a huge fan of Vengeance myself, so it’s not an easy choice, but I think Live Free is better.

Caught Live Free or Die Hard yesterday and it’s worth seeing.  Definitely better than Die Hard with a Vengeance.  There’s a lot of action and some pretty good humor.  Loved the whole bit when they steal the BMW.

I didn’t really get that. Who was he talking to? Was it like OnStar?  If that’s the case, how were they able to communicate with them if all other communications were shut down?

It was good but it wasn’t die hard.  Die Hard was the antithesis of all of the Stallone/Swartzenager movies of the 80’s because where those two were superhuman one-man armies, John McClain was a regular guys with flaws.  In this movie he turns into a superhero.  The action was great but it just didn’t have the Die Hard vibe to me.  The guys who plays a Mac was suprisingly good too.

I’m trying to recall the timeline of events, but was communication already cut off by then?  I’m thinking that happened later, but I could be wrong.

And yeah, BMW uses an OnStar-like service called BMW Assist.  It includes internet and bluetooth connectivity.

Yea, I can’t remember exactly either.  I just remember going “wtf?”

And I think he was more superhuman this time around because this is his 4th time around.  John McClane I mean.  He’s got a lot of experience, therefore he’s able to do more.

I want to see it again!

In his world, John Mclane should be an iconic character right? Almost Everyone should recognize him from reading about his stories about Nakatomi and the other 2 incidents. So why does Kevin Smiths character (of all people) not know who he is? Even by name? I guess they dont have Google in the world of DIE HARD? :gulp:

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone had any info on this 2 keyboards: 1) the keyboard Farrel was using before Mclane got to the apartment and all hell brakes loose. 2) the keyboard Mia used.. the folding one. Most folding keyboards are plastic membranes… this looked to be using individual switched. Thanks in advance

Die hard is always good, and Bruce is a great actor!

BTW. do you know why Bruce didn’t play in the Titanic??

He would have been saved everyone!
