I don’t want to start a new topic, maybe some one can help choosing a nice 13” laptop for internet surfing and office stuff?

an IBM think pad is small, portable and really efficient. but it can be quite expensive.  (I have one so I’d recommend it)
toshibas are affordable nowadays but those are really big and not as portable.
dells can be affordable. I don’t trust dells though. My friends who had them all ran into problems down the road.

of course there are macs.

Hi Yum114,
I have seen it. Its a nice laptop nice specifications. The 4GB Ram and 320 GB hard disk features are absolutely fantastic. Also my previous laptop had Dual core and it worked too slow. Upgrading to Core2Duo is a nice step.

Aida, does your new laptop have to have a 13 inch screen? Netbooks today come with 10.1inch screens and they have the specs you require for surfing the internet, word processing, photo manipulation, playing music etc. Not only this but they come with price tags below 300 dollars. Do some research on netbooks including the Dell Mini, Toshiba NB250 and Acer’s Aspire One series. They come with intel atom processors, 160 GB hard drives, built in webcams and 1gig of memory.
