[quote author=“JoyMonkey”]Just wondering how many people out there are playing D3 and what kind of PC setup you’re running it on.

I’ve got an Athlon2700+ , 1gig PC2700 DDR and a Radeon 9800 Pro and it’s only really playable when I set it to the Medium setting. I think maybe I need to do some tweaking…

the thing that they’ll get you for is…
to play Doom 3

you’ll need to buy a “PCI Express Graphics Card” oO

I have a p4 3ghz with 1 gig ram and a ti 4200 (128mb)

It runs quite fine, cept that the video card overheats and reboots the system, LOL.

Doesn’t do that with other games at all.

Putting a huge fan on it fixed it though, but i’m contemplating on upgrading to an 6800.

very similar rig here, only its a fx5200 (128mb) :(

pretty sure it my vid card holding me back….alas, i dont want to spend $400+ to make a $50 game run faster

only really playable in “low” settings, but still looks great.

I’m running a P4 3.2 800fsb, 1gig of DDR400, 6800GT OC’ed to ultra speeds, SBLive sound card.

Runs perfect at High Quality.  Ultra High QUality runs OK. I get some areas where it just runs like crap but I think my CPU might be stopping it.

yeah, as soon as I get a gigaflop processor I’ll install it—not to mention a true 256k Video card.
