Truthfully, I’d thought you had over 1000.

Probably because of all the useless topics she has made.

I have -snip- points, but I’m not noticing my points go up at all with everything else apart from the forum.

I think Alot of that would be consided SPAM, if you have 800 points. When are they going to take points away if they consider it SPAM?

I won’t suggest posting your points in this thread.Even though we may post it casually but that would lead to a nasty situation here.People can kill for a $5000 monster.Just my 2 cents.You may post if you like but that may make the situation out of control.I don’t wanna be banned because we can see that Andru didn’t support the Leaderboard idea as well.

As per the rules Shark, there’s now the same points given for both posting a comment & opening a thread.

  * Upload a member photo: 50 points
  * Choose or upload an avatar: 25 points
  * Posting a blog comment: 1 point
  * Posting a gallery comment: 1 point
  * Assign a forum signature: 10 points
* Posting a forum topic: 1 point

  * Vote in a poll: 3 points
  * Choose favorite Gear Live site in profile: 2 points

yes, if the posts are spam they are taking away points- and they have fairly easy ways to find out whos spamming
youd be suprised the kind of tools webmasters have at their disposal

Well Shady i can just say you have the maximum amount of points as far we are concerned.Jess1ca may be near you.Have you completed the Bonus points & got credited for them or you still are waiting for them to be credited ? Then you’ll have more than 1000 i guess (after getting the bonus points).I still need a long way to catch you maybe because they didn’t count my posts in some old threads.I think, there’s no points ( or atleast they will be deducted later) given for posts older than 6 months.I wish if i would know that earlier so that i didn’t have to waste my time in those old threads but for the fact, i never dugg-up an old thread myself.I just posted there when i could see someone posted something recently before me.

Well as you are saying, i’m near 655 now.I told you many posts of mine which i’ve posted in old threads didn’t count & i had quite a few of them in the food section.Wish if i didn’t waste my time there.I still didn’t do anything for the bonus points though. :(

that it is, but all the same everyone should be careful theyre not spamming 😉
remember, the whole point of making this the contest rules is to get more people to contribute, not put random useless things all over the place

So, from what it sounds like, they are removing the spam posts from your point total daily?  Or are they removing all the “spamming posts” at the end of the contest?  Either way, I am glad they are going to enforce the rule

How about we all calm down. I think everyone is jealous of each other, well almost. I’m not against anyone. Everyone of us has at least some if not more spamming posts. Also, keep on topic too.

since there are a few days left im not even worried about numbers at the second….
i got over 400 posts because im so desperate to win it i havent left the computer yet
im not spamming, im just going at a steady pace and since im homeschooled i stay home all day with nothing to do

Sorry sushrukh, I was just a little frustrated at the fact you were posting stories every two minutes when there were clearly a lot of other topics that could be exhausted—also, can you point to some times when I have spammed?  I’ve been making a conscious effort to put thought into every answer I give, just to avoid that point, but if I am coming across as spamming, I would like to know so I can see what the problem is.
