Do you cook for your family? My mother cooks for us but do I cook? Yes, when I have to, hehe. I have to say, the Food Network is a great channel to watch when one is bored. Also, they make everything look so easy, so one of these days, I’ll definitely try to cook a fantastic meal for my family.

I think I definitely want to learn how to cook better over the summer! I’ll get my mom to teach me some of her recipes. What are you guys planning to do? I mean, I think we’re all aware in the future, we’re going to need to cook for ourselves. Are you guys planning on taking cooking classes, just learning from your parents, etc.?

I cook for myself mostly, i eat things that are high in protein and Carbs after I lift. My family doesn’t like the things I eat so i make it for myself. I have cooked a few times when my mom couldn’t get home to make dinner. As long as it’s easy to make i could probably make it. Also it makes it hard because i don’t enjoy to cook so the motivation for me to cook for my family isn’t their.

I just started seriously cooking for my household. I’m introducing my family to American cuisine. We never ate pasta growing up and now i’m obsessed. Just the other day I made a potato salad which has never been done in my house.  On the other hand though I’m not really good at cooking my own native cuisine so I definitely need to find a balance.

HI,yeah i also cook for my family. I don’t agree eating out at restos most of the time with my kids and husband. For i’m sure what i’m serving them are clean, delicious and most of all healthy. BTW i get a lot of recipe references from cookbooks and sites online.

I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

We felt it was time to do our part to help, so with the support of a bunch of Gear Live friends, we are announcing that we will match SMS donations made by Gear Live readers and viewers. As many of you know, the Red Cross has made it super-simple to donate $10 to help out by simply texting the word HAITI to 90999. In fact, this has been so successful that it?s already earned $11 million in just a few days. That is fantastic - but the damage to the country is far greater than that, and every little bit helps. So here?s what we?re gonna do:

I love to cook for my family, it really is a joy for me. My current speciality is my spaghetti and meatballs….. i use a traditional recipe that takes 6hours to cook from start to finish. Thats right 6 hours - everything is made from scratch!

Unfortunately, I can only cook fried and boiled egg. The good thing, I have extra money to treat them on restaurants, and they can eat whatever they like.

I’ve started to learn cooking putanesca pasta, and I have them taste it,  but I’m more of a vegetarian, so they don’t like it that much.

If this is your cooking time, follow the instructions exactly. Once you have more experience, you can try adding your own ingredients and spices for cooking you do.
