That’s all pro-tool bullsh!t. That’s why they suck live.

If you want a real band, listen to Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai, or Joe Satriani, to name a few. Those guys sound better live.

I stand by “#### Dragonforce.”

On topic, though: I downloaded and played it. It’s great. I love it. I’m now scouring my game library for games worthy of being traded in towards it.

I was just going to buy the game, but now I am going to buy the game and new guitar.  My X-Plorer whammy bar is loose and annoys me and I like the new Guide button placement on the Les Paul.  God by the end of November I will have 4 fake guitars in my house.

Dream Theater, FTW.

I already traded several in, and a could find a few more to at least the bring the price down.  4th quarter is killing me.  If you get to Gamestop/EBGames with 360/PS3/Wii games before the 21st, you get an extra $10 (store credit only) for every 2 you trade.

Trading games makes Major Malfunction sad.....

I should sell off my old games, but its like selling my babies....

Plus, I hate the EB used games industry....  but that is a personal opinion and moto since there is no EB or Gamestop within 40 miles of me.

I’m disappointed in the demo.  It’s not as much fun anymore.  They seem to have catered to all the 5* Expert players and made it very technical and difficult to play, ignoring those people who just want to have fun.  The difficulty jump from medium to hard is insane.  Average players are given the choice between being bored or frustrated.  I just convinced my girlfriend to try hard on 1 & 2, there is no way she will leave medium on this one once she sees me playing.  Just my $0.02

I only did Hard on the 1st track, and I found it to be about the same as the Tier 1 Hard songs on GH2.

I’m basing it on The Metal.  To me that isn’t the hardest song in the Career, but I barely passed it.  Even Rock You Like A Hurricane, which I’m very familiar with and again not a hard song, gave me a little bit of trouble.  I’ll take into consideration that I haven’t played in a couple of weeks, but I think if I’m struggling with the easier songs then the harder ones are just going to be nuts, especially after listening to Devil Went Down To Georgia.  That was bollocks.

I’m still planning to get it, but I probably won’t pass Hard completely.  I’m not willing to put as much work into the game as I do into my real guitar.

God by the end of November I will have 4 fake guitars in my house.

Please, by the end of November I’ll be on plastic guitar #6, #1 SG with GH1, #2 Official Wireless for PS2, #3 Official Wireless for PS2. #4 X-Plorer for 360, #5 Les Paul for 360, #6 Strat from Rock Band.  I may end up with the Kramer for the PS2 if they sell it separately since Sharon has my 2 PS2 wireless and the SG is a little flakey from overuse.

Maybe we should smash a couple of plastic guitars when we win career mode… smile

If you did I would insist you video tape it and for the good of humanity put it on YouTube.

Other than that, I wouldn’t doubt that they’re catering more to the five-star expert players. I may be an expert man myself, I just prefer to provide three star shows so the average man can afford to sit in my concert halls. Ahem. Either way I do agree it’s pretty disappointing if true.

If anything I’m hoping they’ll keep the impossible songs to the bonus tracks (I’m looking at you, Jordan and Six). I played Rock the 80’s and I can’t touch the last song (Play With Me) with a ten-foot pole.

Those are a lot of guitars....

Honestly, I was perfectly satisfied with the demo’s difficulty. I am an Expert player, but certainly not a 5* Expert player… I can’t pass “The Metal,” but I’ve only played it once, and I’m completely unfamiliar with the song.

By the way, that GameStop promo about trading 2 games and getting an extra $10 has been extended until 11/11.

Well, maybe it’s just me then.  Maybe I’m finally getting old.

Are you having trouble with “Even Flow?” Because that’s actually pretty easy…
