if anyone has this or has any ideas on how i cna reinstall an OS on the new harddrive ill pay money or give it to me for free?> 😊

give me money 😉

go to:
http://www.ubuntulinux.org/download/

and download the installation ISO for whatever processor you have (if it’s a P4, get the i386/x86, if it’s an Athlon 64, get the x64)

burn it to a disk.

reboot the computer with the disk in your drive.

select “yes” a couple of times.

wonder why Windows never looked so good 😉

I want to dual boot either ubuntu or gentoo. Linux is awesome and I could really use the developing enviroment to practice C. :D Ben find me a guide! :roll:

first of all, forget Gentoo… it’ll give you a really bad first impression of Linux

for ubuntu, i recommend downloading a LiveCD from http://www.ubuntulinux.org/download/

and then trying from that

play around for a while, twiddle your thumbs, and then wait a bit more… a new version is coming out in a month :D (new version as in, the diff between Win 2000 and Win XP… a big update)

i’m running a beta of the new one, and it’s definately worht waiting for :D

I have the live cd already :o
Tried it a while ago, liked it. So I’m probably dual booting some time soon :D
